The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur launched 18 online management courses on its virtual learning platform for its batch of 2019-21 to ensure uninterrupted learning and prevent academic loss of the students during the nationwide lockdown.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur launched 18 online management courses on its virtual learning platform for its batch of 2019-21 to ensure uninterrupted learning and prevent academic loss of the students during the nationwide lockdown. According to the reports, the courses are offered as elective courses and voluntary courses under Operations, HR, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, etc. Learning should not be obstructed is the aim behind the launch of these online courses.
Talking about the newly introduced courses and the importance of moving online, the IIM Udaipur’s director Janat Shah stated, “We are setting up infrastructure and processes to move to online learning temporarily. Our faculty members are offering short courses on FINTECH, Blockchain, and Strategic Digital Transformation, amongst others, using online as the mode of education delivery.”
In a press release, Mr Shah further added, “This initiative will help students utilize their free time more productively.”
Commenting on the need for online education and e-learning platforms amid the COVID-19 lockdown, IIM U Chairperson of the Programs Committee, Professor Sandhya Bhatia, stated that the move of going online is aimed at ensuring that those who aim to hold the post of a manager do not suffer today.
