TANCET 2021 Counselling Schedule Released; Register before August 31

Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai has released details on TANCET counselling 2021. Typically, TANCET counselling commences within 15 days of release of TANCET scorecard. However, for the admission session 2021, the TANCET counselling details have been made available after a long wait of 132 days.

With the release of TANCET counselling details, conducting body of TN MBA/MCA counselling, DTE has started the TANCET counselling registration. Candidates can complete the TANCET counselling registration and application process at tn-mbamca.com until August 31. Candidates completing the TANCET registration using this window need to upload certain certificates. After the certificate verification, DTE shall publish a rank list with the names of all the candidates who are eligible to participate in the further counselling process of TANCET 2021 exam.

TANCET Counselling Schedule

TN MBA/MCA counselling has started from August 11. Candidates can complete the counselling registration until August 31. The registration window shall also host the certificate uploading process. The original certificate verification is scheduled from August 18 to September 9.

As per the TANCET counselling schedule, DTE shall publish the TANCET MBA rank list on September 13 after the document verification. Candidates will be able to exercise choice filling within a two-day window from September 22 to September 24.

A tentative allotment list shall be hosted on September 25 that shall be confirmed by September 26, followed by the publication of provisional allotment list for TANCET 2021 on September 27. In case the seats remain vacant, DTE will be conducting supplementary counselling on September 29.

TANCET Counselling Process

Owing to the COVI-19 pandemic, the TANCET counselling is being conducted in an online mode. The TANCET counselling process includes eight steps as mentioned below.

1. Filing of online application by the candidate, i.e. TANCET counselling registration (details must be same as filled during the TANCET application form submission)
2. Uploading of certificates
3. Certificate verification
4. Publication of TANCET rank list
5. Counselling for Special Reservation category
6. Commencement of general counselling
1. Payment of Initial Deposit
2. Exercising the choices of Institutions
3. Publication of tentative allotment list
4. Confirmation of allotment option
5. Final allotment of Institution
6. Reporting to the allotted institutes
7. Supplementary counselling
8. SCA to SC counselling

TANCET Counselling Fee

Candidates need to pay the counselling registration fee after filling details and uploading documents. The counselling fee for different categories are as follows

General Category candidates: Rs 300

SC/SCA/ST Category candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu: Rs 150

The payment mode of TANCET counselling fee is online only. Candidates will be able to choose between two different payment gateways, that are

• Indian Bank
• Indian Overseas Bank

In case of multiple payments, the refund shall be initiated after the counselling process is over and verification of all the records with DTE. Thus, candidates must wait at least 20 minutes after initiating the payment if the payment does not reflect at the tn-mbamca portal.
