MCC extends deadline for NEET PG Counselling 2021 Round 1 reporting

NEET PG Counselling 2021 Round 1: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for reporting to colleges to January 30.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for reporting to the allotted colleges to January 30, up to 4 pm from the earlier schedule of January 28.

MCC has also allowed PG medical aspirants seeking admission to MS and MD seats to report to the colleges in hybrid mode this year. Hence, the candidates who have been allotted seats in the NEET PG Counselling 2021 Round 1 can report both online and offline mode at the allotted college on January 30.

The official notice reads, "In reference to many requests being received from candidates, MCC of DGHS has extended the time for Reporting of Round-1 of PG Counselling 2021 up to 04:00 P.M of 30th January 2022 (Sunday)."

The applicants can resign from the allotted seat in Round 1 till 4 pm of February 3 after which these candidates will be considered as part of Round 2 and the same rules will apply to them as applicable for Round 2 of counselling.

The resignation letters will be generated online by colleges, if not then the resignation will be considered 'null and void,', said MCC in an official statement and the applicant will be deemed to occupy the seat and Round 2 rules will apply. As per the notification, if the candidate is not promoted in Round 2, there is no choice to resign.

MCC notification adds, "In case candidate gives consent for up-gradation in Round-2, participate in Round-2 counselling but is not upgraded, s/he cannot resign the seat allotted in Round-2 and will have to retain the seat. In such a case rules of Round-2 will apply since the candidate has exercised choices and participated in Round-2. There is no option of resignation if the candidate is not upgraded in Round-2. Round-1 joined candidates who neither participate in Round-2 nor resign the seat of Round-1 will be considered part of Round-2 after the stipulated time. Hence, candidates who desire to resign their seat of

Round-1 should do so before Round-2 i.e by 04:00 P.M of 3rd February 2022."
