Assam NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 seat allotment result has been declared by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam. A total of 3,098 candidates have been allotted MBBS and BDS seats. The institute reporting process will be conducted from September 2 to September 5, 2024.
Assam NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 seat allotment result has been declared by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam. A total of 3,098 candidates have been allotted MBBS and BDS seats. Candidates who have been selected under the PWD and Extremist Violence and Martyrs Quota have to report to the DME Office on September 2, 2024, 10 AM.
The institute reporting process for the rest of the candidates will be conducted from September 3 to September 5, 2024, at the Principal’s office of the respective allotted colleges with the requisite documents and the admission fees. Failing to do so will cancel the seat allotment.

DME Assam said, “Candidates must bring all necessary and original documents and annexures along with counselling and admission fee amounting to approximately INR 25,000.”
The documents required are NEET 2024 admit card, mark sheet, pass certificate, Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, caste certificate and other documents as specified by the institutes.

Yes, candidates can participate in both the national level NEET counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if a candidate has already joined an institute, then he or she will no longer be eligible to participate in other state/national level counselling. Moreover, they will also not be eligible to participate for the next round of NEET state counselling once they join an institute.
Q: What is the total duration of Assam NEET UG counselling?
In general, the total duration of the Assam NEET UG counselling is of three to four months. The total number of counselling rounds is also around three to four. On an average, each round is conducted for a duration of one month. The exact durtion will be updated once the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam announces the round-wise schedule of the Assam NEET counselling 2024. The number of rounds may exceed in case vacant seats are left after the last round of counselling. In that case the overall duration or the tenure of the counselling will also extend.
