Assam NEET UG round 3 counselling dates 2024 is now available at dme.assam.gov.in for students willing to get admission in 85% of state quota MBBS and BDS seats across the state of Assam. 

Assam NEET Counselling 2024

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has announced the Assam NEET round 3 counselling dates 2024 at the official website. Students willing to apply for MBBS or BDS admission at 85% of state quota reserve seats in Assam state can check the counselling schedule here. The Assam NEET counselling 2024 admission to vacant MBBS/ BDS seats in the Government Medical and Dental College of Assam for the session 2024 under the state quota seats has been merged with the Assam NEET UG round 3 counselling process 2024 and is ongoing as per the schedule.

"It is also to be noted that candidates who attended Office of the DME, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 on 5th October 2024 for documents verification and filling of choice of Institutions under 5% Government School reservation and are found eligible for the said reservation, the candidates shall be allotted Medical /Dental Colleges in order of merit and their choice." The official notification reads. 

Students who have filled their choices during the round 2 process need not to provide fresh choices. However, if any such candidate wants to revise the choice then they can make revisions during the Assam NEET round 3 counselling process. 

Q:   What is the minimum rank required to get an MBBS seat through Assam NEET counselling?

A:

A General category student must secure an AIR rank of 55,000 or above to get an MBBS seat in a good college. Candidates must note that this is a predictive cutoff rank and not an absolute data. The actual cutoff data or rank will be relesed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) after the conclusion of the counselling process for Assam NEET. 

Q:   Who will conduct the Assam NEET counselling and release the NEET cut-off for Assam?

A:

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam is the responsible body to release the Assam cut-off and conducting authority for the Assam NEET counselling.

Q:   Can students participate in state level and national level NEET counselling process simultaneously?

A:

Yes, candidates can participate in both the national level NEET counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if a candidate has already joined an institute, then he or she will no longer be eligible to participate in other state/national level counselling. Moreover, they will also not be eligible to participate for the next round of NEET state counselling once they join an institute.
