Now, when the NEET PG 2021 Counselling is expected to begin soon, read here how the doctors are responding to the latest developments related to the OBC reservation case and EWS criteria.

The latest is that the Centre has accepted the recommendation by the expert committee to continue with the INR 8 lakh annual income criteria for determining the economically weaker section (EWS) for the ongoing admission process. Also, the Supreme Court will hear the case challenging the new OBC and EWS reservation scheme on January 6. With these latest developments, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG 2021) Counselling is expected to begin from next week. Let's take a look at how doctors have responded to these new developments.

Some of the related tweets are:

"What happens to the new OBC guidelines?? Apply that too from the next year!!Why?? Why can't you see what's clear. it took soo long to realise that implementing midway is wrong! So it's wrong for OBC too!!!! @LiveLawIndia @NeetMeet @Doctor_Indian_"

"It means ews criteria will remain at 8 lkhs. Not that ews will not be implemented. Both obc and ews will be implemented in aiq this year as sc hasn't discussed it. All they discussed was criteria for ews, which the govt has now said will remain same."

"So despite the criteria the percentage remains the same, so what the case was all about? to revisit the criteria?"

"It was literally just 're-visit'. They just walked into the park spent 4 weeks and came back without shaking a bush."

"Lets hope things gets better & #NEETPG2021 Counselling schedule is released soon! May sensibility prevails. Thanks @FordaIndia, all state RDAs & most importantly the Resident Doctors who showed unity & active participation!"

"Eagerly waiting for 6th Jan now… #ExpediteNEETPGCounselling2021 #Doctorsstrike #DoctorsProtest #NeetPGcounselling2021 #NEETPG2021"
