The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has written to BPS Medical College regarding the non-payment of stipends to PG resident doctors. The Association has said that many resident doctors are not getting their salaries which is unacceptable.

FAIMA's tweet reads, "#FAIMA is shocked to learn that many Residents working at BPS Medical College are NOT GETTING ANY SALARY! This is unacceptable. Many of them come from poor economic backgrounds and are dependent on their salary! This needs to be sorted out ASAP otherwise matters will be escalated!"

Resolve the matter soon, urges FAIMA

In a letter to the Director of BPS Medical College, FAIMA said, "This is very sad to hear and would like to bring your kind notice with regard that residents of your institute are not getting their stipend for four months. They are not getting stipends as per Haryana govt guidelines. Most of them are married and they have to look after their families. They are dependent on their monthly stipend for all their expenses and many of them are not able to pay their education loans."

"FAIMA sincerely appeals and requests you sir to kindly look into the matter personally and resolve this matter as soon as possible for the betterment of the institute as well as the health system of the Haryana state," added the letter.
