NBE has released the NEET PG 2021 information brochure with some of the major changes. Read further to know more. 

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has today; i.e. February 23 released the information brochure for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-graduate (NEET PG). The information brochure has been released on the official website of the board; i.e nbe.edu.in. The NEET PG 2021 official bulletin includes some major changes that include the number of the NEET PG 2021 exam centres, hike in NEET PG 2021 application fee, change in exam schedule amongst others.

The NBE had last month announced the NEET PG 2021 date. The NEET PG 2021 application form will be made available to the students from today; i.e. February 23 at 3 pm. NEET PG is the most widely accepted entrance exam for admissions to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master in Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country. The NEET PG 2021 exam will be conducted in the computer-based mode on April 18, 2021 across the country at multiple NEET PG 2021 exam centres. 

NEET PG 2021: What has changed?

NEET PG 2021 information brochure has been released with some of the major changes which are as follows:

  • Application Fee:  The examination fee for the NEET PG 2021 has been hiked from Rs. 3,750 to Rs 5,015 (including GST) for general aspirants, while SC/ST and PwD candidates’ fee has been increased from Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,835 (including GST).
  • NEET PG 2021 Exam Centers: This year, the NEET PG 2021 entrance exam will be conducted at 255 exam centres. Earlier, the total number of exam centres was 165.
  • NEET PG 2021 exam pattern
    There has been a change in the NEET PG 2021 exam pattern as well. The maximum number of marks to be obtained in the exam has also been reduced from 1200 to 800.
  • NEET PG 2021 Exam Timing: The NEET PG 2021 entrance exam timing has also been changed. Earlier, the exam was conducted from 3 pm to 7 pm, however, it will not be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. 
  • NEET PG 2021 tie-breaking guidelines: For NEET PG 2021, the number of factors to be considered to resolve a tie-breaker has been reduced to four, which was earlier eight. The tie-breaking system ensures a fair NEET PG 2021 result declaration.
