NEET PG 2023: FAKE notice circulating about postponement
There is a fake notice circulating about NEET PG 2023 postponement which says that the examination is deferred from March 5, 2023, to May 21, 2023. Dr Rohan Krishnan, National Chairman of FAIMA Doctors Association, has notified that the notice is fake. The doctors will be protesting today at Jantar Mantar to demand postponement.
There is growing demand to postpone NEET PG 2023, which is scheduled for March 5, 2023. Today, the doctors led by the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) team are all set to protest at the Jantar Mantar to demand NEET PG 2023 postponement and revisit of the internship deadline for the exam. Amid the agitation going on, there is one fake notice started circulating which says that the exam has been postponed from March 5, 2023, to May 21, 2023.
Dr Rohan Krishnan, National Chairman of FAIMA Doctors Association has said that it is a fake notice.
The notice reads, "Pursuant to the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) Govt of India vide its letter no. F No Z 21138/68/2023-MEC dated 06.02.2023, the conduct of the NEET PG 2023 examination which was earlier notified to be held on March 5 stands rescheduled. The NEET PG 2023 shall now be conducted on May 21, 2023 (9 am to 12:30 pm)."
Telangana Junior Doctors Association urges extension of NEET PG 2023 internship completion deadline
The association has written to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to demand the extension of the NEET PG eligibility cut-off date of internship to August 31, 2023, for Telangana students.
The letter highlighted that according to the current internship deadline of June 30, 2023, as many as 5000 interns of Telangana are ineligible for NEET PG 2023. KNRUHS declared the final year exam results of batch 2017 in August 2022 due to delayed academic years owing to the global pandemic which caused students to join the internship late.
