NEET PG 2024: RTI filed seeking justification for exam preponement to June 23

An RTI has been filled against NEET PG 2024 preponement. An activist has filled an RTI requesting details of meeting held where various stakeholders decided to prepone NEET PG 2024 exam to June 23. NEET PG 2024 was scheduled to be held on July 7 earlier but it was preponed. 

NEET PG 2024 preponement: Days after NEET PG 2024 exam was preponed, an RTI has been filed. A social and political activist Dr Vivek Pandey has filed the RTI under RTI act 2005 asking details about minutes of the meeting where the decision was undertaken. It must be noted candidates had expressed displeasure over the decision of National Medical Commission which had decided to prepone NEET PG 2024 exam on March 20. The exam was rescheduled to June 23 in a meeting held by National Medical commission, Post Graduate Medical Education Board and others.

“Kindly provide the details of the meeting held to prepone the upcoming NEET PG 2024 exam. Please provide the information of suggestions given to prepone NEET PG 2024 exam,” he writes in a post shared on X (previously Twitter).

Providing the reason of filling the RTI, he says "We must know why exam is Pre-Poned, if result is coming late, counselling is late, then what is benefit of conducting exam 15 days before previous date?."

NEET PG 2024 exam has been rescheduled thrice in recent days. Initially NBE had provided March 3 as the tentative date for NEET PG 2024 exam. After the demand of students on various social media platforms, stating that NBE should extend the date considering internship deadline, the date was changed to July 7, 2024. Third time date was changed to June 23 possibly due to Lok Sabha election.

Candidates will have to register online and submit application form for NEET PG 2024 exam. NBE will announce NEET PG 2024 result on July 15, 2024.
