The Supreme Court will hold the next NEET PG hearing on September 20, 2024, over allegations of paper leak, normalisation scores and other discrepancies.

NEET PG 2024 exam has been surrounded by delays and controversies. The latest turn of events includes a supreme court petition by 19 candidates owing to transparency and discrepancies in The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate). Reportedly, the NEET PG 2024 result controversy and the petition to release the answer key and raw scores have been accepted by the Apex Court and the hearing has been scheduled for September 20, 2024. The court's involvement will be for the students who are frustrated by the lack of clarity and the extended delays. Reportedly, the upcoming hearing will address the issues by petitioners concerning the answer key release and publishing of paper solutions and response sheets. 

NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2024: MCC Yet to Release Dates 

The NEET PG counselling dates 2024 have been released by the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA). However, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not officially released the NEET PG 2024 counselling dates 2024 on their official website. The stateholders are expecting NEET PG counselling dates 2024 delay as the NEET PG supreme court hearing is scheduled on September 20, 2024. However, as per FAIMA, NEET PG round 1 counselling registration 2024 will begin on September 20, 2024. 

NEET PG Counselling 2024: Nationality Conversion Process Ongoing 

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conclude the NEET PG Counselling 2024 Nationality Conversion Facility on September 17, 2024. Candidates willing to change their nationality from Indian to NRI for round 1 NEET PG counselling 2024 can submit their applications before the deadline at MCC official website i.e. mcc.nic.in. 

Supreme Court Hearing on NEET PG 2024 on September 20

The Apex Court will conduct the NEET PG 2024 hearing on September 20, 2024, following the petition by 19 NEET PG students who have accused NBE of lack of transparency in the NEET exam and alleged manipulation through the normalisation process for NEET PG scores 2024.

Q:   When will MCC conduct NEET PG 2024 counselling?

A:

MCC announced dates and schedule for NEET PG 2024 counselling. Registration for NEET PG 2024 counselling round-3 began on December 26, 2024. The last date for round-3 registration was January 1, 2025. Round-3 seat allotment result will be announced soon. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling. Registration can be done on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Registered candidates also have to declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Choices have to be locked in the given deadline. Seats are allotted based on declared choices, availablity of seats, NEET PG rank, reservation factor etc. A separate seat allotment result is declared for each round. 

Q:   Who will be eligible for NEET PG 2024 counselling rounds?

A:

Candidates who qualify NEET PG exam with minimum cutoff marks as decided by NBE will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The qualifying cut off varies as per the category. To participate in NEET PG 2024 counselling, candidates will have to register on the official website, mcc. Nic. In. They also have to fill choice for college and course and lock them in the given deadline. Seat allotment is done based on different factors such as choice declared, availability of seats in particular college and course, NEET PG rank etc.

Q:   I have registered for round 1 of NEET PG 2024 counselling. Should I register again for round 2/mop up round?

A:

No, online registration for NEET PG counselling is a one-time process. Those who have already registered once don't need to register again. Only those candidates who have not registered themselves during round 1 need to register for the round 2/mop-up round. Registration can be done in any round except last one on the official website. Mcc. Nic. In. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling for allotment of 50% All India Quota seats.
