NBE recently revised the NEET PG exam date 2024 from July 7, 2024, to June 23, 2024. Now, the recent NEET PG 2024 notice highlights NEET PG pattern change with the introduction of time-bound sections in NEET PG, FMGE, NEET MDS, GPAT, NEET SS and other exams.

NBE Revised Exam Pattern 2024

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised NEET MDS, NEET SS, FMGE, DNB PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, FET and NEET PG exam pattern 2024. As per NBE latest notice, the aforesaid exams will now have time-bound sections during the entrance exam. It implies that students have to answer MCQs in a specified period. Further, students will not be able to review the answered questions and modify their responses for a section once the allotted time finishes. The next section will begin automatically once the section-wise time is finished.

NEET PG 2024 exam on June 23 will be the first entrance test to have time-bound sections followed by other entrance examinations.

No Review/ Modification in Answered Questions

β€œThe question papers in these examinations will be divided into multiple time-bound sections. For example, in NEET-PG 2024, if there are five time-bound sections (A, B, C, D & E) in the question paper, each section will have 40 questions and 42 minutes of time allotted. Candidates will be restricted from proceeding to the next section until they complete the allotted time for the previous section.” Reads the official notification.

Why Did NBE introduce Time Bound Section?

NBE notified that the time-bound section will enhance the security and fairness of the exam that is questioned due to threats during the examination process. For any queries, students can contact NBEMS at 011-45593000 or write to NBEMS at https://exam.natboard.edu.in/communication.php?page=main.

Dissatisfaction Highlighted Over Social Media

Students and medical practitioners showed their unhappiness over social media platforms against NEET PG pattern change.

Dr. Rohan Krishnan wrote on X "We are always against any kind of changes which are last minute. @NbeIndia should refrain from treating young aspirants who are graduate doctors like lab rats. @FAIMA_INDIA_ stands against this last-minute modification in exam/exam patterns. Requesting @NbeIndia to cancel this.”
