Quality medical education must be provided at affordable cost: Naveen's father to PM Modi
Naveen Shekharappa's father has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to do something at least from now on that quality medical education can be provided to Indian students at an affordable cost.
The father of Naveen Shekharappa, the first Indian medical student who died in the Russia-Ukraine war, has blamed the politicians for the poor education system in India. While interacting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has asked him to ensure that quality higher education is given in the country at an affordable cost in private colleges also.
He said, "At least, from now on some efforts in this direction should be made," as reported by News 18.
The plight of the Indian medical student stranded in Ukraine has raised many questions on medical education in India.
Students demand to ban NEET on social media platform
Many voices are raising to reform the medical education in India so that the Indian medical aspirants get fair chances in the country to pursue medical courses.
This issue has got highlighted at a time when after the Covid-19 pandemic, the country needs more doctors and medical colleges in India to upgrade the health facilities of the country.
Many students are now demanding to ban NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) on Twitter. Some of the related tweets are:
