In the meantime, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the NEET-PG Admit Card 2024.

The Supreme Court will consider a petition today seeking the postponement of the NEET-PG 2024 examination, which is currently scheduled for August 11, 2024. The petition, filed by Vishal Soren, highlights significant concerns regarding logistical issues faced by many candidates due to problematic exam centre allocations.

The allocation of exam cities was announced on July 31, 2024. However, the specific centres were only revealed on August 8, 2024. This short notice has created substantial challenges for students in arranging travel to their designated centres. Many candidates are struggling with the non-availability of train tickets and escalating airfares, which have compounded their difficulties.

The petition also addresses concerns related to the normalization of scores across two different batches of the examination. Soren is requesting that the Supreme Court mandate the disclosure of the normalization formula used to ensure fairness. Without transparency on this formula, there is a risk that one batch may encounter more difficult questions than the other, potentially leading to unequal evaluation.

In light of these issues, the petition seeks the following orders from the Court:

To reschedule the NEET-PG 2024 examination to a later date.

To conduct the examination in a single batch to ensure uniform testing conditions for all candidates.

To rectify the process of examination centre allocation to enhance equity and transparency.

The Supreme Court’s decision will be pivotal in determining whether the NEET-PG 2024 exam will be postponed. In the meantime, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued the NEET-PG Admit Card 2024. Candidates can download their hall tickets through the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in. The NEET-PG is a national-level entrance examination for admission to various post-MBBS DNB courses, direct 6-year DrNB courses, and NBEMS diploma courses offered by medical colleges across India.
