NRI, Minority seats which will remain unfilled after exhaustion of eligible  candidates in NEET PG 2021 mop up round counselling  will be available to general candidates as Indian National seats. Read to know more.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued latest notification for NRI, Minority seats which will remain unfilled in the mop-up round NEET PG 2021 counselling. These seats will be converted to Indian National Seats after exhaustion of all the eligible candidates belonging to categories mentioned above during NEET PG 2021 mop-up round. These seats will then returned to respective Deemed University.

“It is for the information to candidates/ participating colleges that as mentioned in the Information Bulletin (on Page No. 13 of bulletin under Deemed Universities chapter & Q.No. 71) and Notice dated 10.01.2022 ‘Salient Points regarding changes in PG 2021’uploaded on MCC website, Unfilled NRI/Muslim Minority/Jain Minority seats will be converted to Indian National seats after exhaustion of all the eligible NRI/Muslim Minority/Jain Minority Candidates during the Mop-Up Round before reverting it back to the respective Deemed University,” the notification available on the MCC’s official website reads.

These NRI / Minority seats of Deemed Universities will be available to general candidates as well like other seats and candidates will be able to exercise choices for the same. However, candidates must note that the software will allot these seats to eligible NRI/ Minority students first in NEET PG mop-up round 2021 and if seats remain to be filled then will be allotted to general candidates as paid seats.

NEET PG 2021 Mop-up Registration to End Tomorrow

As per NEET PG 2021 counselling dates, the registration for NEET PG 2021 counselling will end on Saturday, March 12. Registration deadline was first extended to March 9 and then to March 12. The original deadline for mop-up round seat allotment was March 7. Candidates will be able to register and exercise choice for mop-up round counselling on the official website, mcc.nic.in in the given deadline.

Those who didn’t get any seat allotted in either round-1 or round-2 will be eligible for mop-up round NEET PG counselling 2021. They need not to register again for this round. Candidates must note that mop-up is last round where new registration will be accepted. In stray vacancy round, allotment will be done if seats remain to be filled in different M/MS and PG Diploma courses under All India Quota category.
