Prime Minister to address convocation at IIT Kanpur on December 28

Narendra Modi invites suggestions from students and alumni for his convocation speech at IIT Kanpur. Send your suggestions on narendramodi.in till December 27.  

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 54th convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on December 28. The Prime Minister took to Twitter to invite people to share their suggestions for his address at the institute. Interested people can share their suggestions at the forum on narendramodi.in. The deadline to send suggestions is December 27.  

“I look forward to being at @IITKanpur on the 28th of this month to address the convocation ceremony. This is a vibrant institution, which has pioneering contribution towards science and innovation. I invite everyone to share suggestions,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted.

  

The institute will host the convocation in a hybrid mode. Students who attend the ceremony virtually will receive degrees via speed post. The convocation ceremony will be held in the institute’s auditorium in three sessions.  The institute informed the graduating students that those who wish to attend the convocation must be double vaccinated for COVID-19 and need to produce a negative RT-PCR report. 

Meanwhile, Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur, tweeted, “I am delighted to share that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has kindly accepted to be the Chief Guest for the 54th convocation @IITKanpur. The convocation will be held on Tuesday, 28th Dec 2021. Join us to be part of this momentous day.”
