The link to submit grievances against RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exams will close on February 16.  Over 2.65 lakh posts are lying vacant in Indian Railways. Rail Minister has clarified that there is no plan to close any RRB.

The link to submit grievances against RRB NTPC and RRB Group D exams will close on February 16. Amid the protests by students against the alleged irregularities in RRB Group D and RRB NTPC exams, the Ministry of Railways had constituted a high power committee to look into the concerns and doubts raised by candidates. The Railways had asked the students to lodge their concerns and suggestions to the high power committee. Candidates can submit their grievances both online and offline. After examining the concerns, the high power committee will submit their recommendations by March 4. Railways had reached out to over two lakh aspirants through outreach programmes.

Protests erupted across various parts especially in Bihar and UP after the declaration of RRB NTPC result. Students alleged that irregularities in the result and selection process. Students also protested against the introduction of second stage CBT in the RRB Group D exam. In view of the protests, Railways had to cancel the RRB NTPC second stage CBT exam and RRB Group D first stage exam.

Over 2.65 lakh Posts Lying Vacant in Railways

Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has recently shared in Rajya Sabha that 2,65,547 posts are lying vacant across departments which include 2,177 gazetted posts and 2,63,370 non-gazetted posts. The zone-wise data of vacant posts is given below.

No proposal to close any RRB: Railway Minister

Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “At present, there is no proposal to close any Railway Recruitment Board.” This clarification has come amid the reports regarding the closure of the Thiruvananthapuram Railway Recruitment Board.
