SSC GD Constable Exam to be conducted in 13 regional languages, MHA gives approval
The SSC GD Constable exam 2023 will now be held in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri, and Konkani. Earlier, the SSC Constable GD exam was conducted in English and Hindi only across the country.
SSC Constable GD Exam: The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that the SSC Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) constable (General Duty) exam will now be conducted in 13 languages from January 1, 2024 onwards. The SSC GD Constable exam 2023 will now be held in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri, and Konkani. Earlier, the SSC Constable GD exam was conducted in English and Hindi only across the country.
The move aims to encourage more youths to participate in the CAPF and promote the use of regional languages. This will help all those candidates who wish to appear in the exam in their regional language, which can help to increase their chances of success. The Ministry in the statement said, "To facilitate the conduct of the examination in multiple Indian languages, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Staff Selection Commission would sign an addendum to the existing MoU."
"In order to promote the use and growth of regional languages, states/UT governments are expected to launch a wide campaign encouraging local youths to take this opportunity of taking the examination in their mother tongue and participate in huge numbers to make a career serving the country," the statement added.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Staff Selection Commission would sign an addendum to the existing MoU to facilitate the conduct of the examination in multiple Indian languages.
