The SSC MTS and Havaldar exam will be conducted in October/November 2024, as per the exam pattern shown above. The new exam pattern has increased the weightage of General Awareness and English in the selection process. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.

Negative Marking in SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam

SSC MTS and Havaldar paper 1 has a negative marking of the quantum of one by four. It implies that the one-by-fourth marks (of the marks assigned to that question) of the candidates will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked in the SSC MTS and Havaldar answer key online. SSC will conduct the PET/PST exam for the Havaldar posts. SSC will provide exemptions to the candidates belonging to different categories as mentioned below:

The candidate must have passed the Matriculation exam from any recognised board/institution.
