The NTA will soon release the UGC NET 2024 admit card for the June session on the official website. The UGC NET 2024 exam will start on August 21 and end on September 4, 2024. Candidates can check below some of the important topics that they can revise for Paper 1. It will help in their preparation.

UGC NET 2024 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the UGC NET 2024 exam for the June session on August 21, 2024. It will end on September 4, 2024. Less time is left. During preparation, revision plays a vital role. Here we are providing some of the important topics that candidates can revise in Paper 1, and that will help them in their preparation. The UGC NET exam consists of two papers, namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. It will be conducted as Computer- Based Test (CBT) online mode. The duration of an exam is three hours. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.

UGC NET 2024 Paper 1: Important Topics To Revise

Paper 1 of UGC NET test candidates Teaching and Research Aptitude. It consists of ten sections, each with five questions, for a total of 50 questions. Each question carries two marks. Therefore, the total marks are 100. UGC NET Paper 1 covers several topics, including teaching aptitude, research aptitude, communication, reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, logical reasoning, data interpretation, information and communication technology, development and environment, higher education system, etc. Scroll down to know the UGC NET 2024 important topics to revise for Paper 1.

People & Environment: Renewable energy, Pollution related questions, People development and environment, government schemes related to the environment, and natural hazards and mitigation, diseases, climate change, global warming

Communication: Types, nature, characteristics, communication barriers, effective classroom communication

Q:   Can I get my UGC NET exam centre changed after the issue of the admit card?

A:
No, it is not possible to change the UGC NET exam center after the issue of the admit card. The exam center is allotted based on the preferences provided by the candidate at the time of filling the application form, and the UGC NET admit card contains the details of the exam center allotted to the candidate. Once the admit card is issued, the exam center cannot be changed under any circumstances. Candidates are required to appear for the exam at the allotted exam center as mentioned on their admit card. Any deviation from this will result in disqualification from the exam. Therefore, it is advisable to carefully select the exam center while filling the application form and double-check the details mentioned on the admit card before the exam day to avoid any last-minute issues or confusion. Q:   What is the difference between UGC NET city slip and admit card?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the advance city intimation slip before the release of the UGC NET admit card on the offcial websit. As the UGC NET exam is carried out pan India and sometimes the UGC NET centre is allotted far away from the candidate's residential address. Therefore by releasing the UGC NET city slip,   the NTA gives chance to make necessary arrangements like travelling, accomodation etc. 

On the other hand, the UGC NET admit card is a hall ticket for the candidates who are going to appear in the UGC NET exam. The admit card comprises the exam cente address, shift timing. The admit card is released a few days before the exam day.  The candidates are not allowed to the exam hall if they don't have the UGC NET admit card whereas the city slip is not required for the UGC NET exam. 

Q:   Who releases the UGC NET admit card?

The UGC NET admit card is released by the National Testing Agency on behalf of the University Grant Commission (UGC). NTA is also the exam conducting authority of the UGC NET exam. Earlier, the UGC NET admit card was released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). After the formation of NTA in 2019 all the rights to conduct the UGC NET exam were taken from CBSE and passed to NTA. Now NTA is responsible for all the decisions in conducting the UGC NET exam. The UGC NET June cycle 2023 will also be conducted by the NTA on behalf of UGC

Q:   Will UGC NET admit card be needed after the exam is over?

A:
Yes, it is advisable to keep the UGC NET admit card safe even after the exam is over. The admit card is an important document that serves as proof of your candidature for the UGC NET exam. It contains essential details such as your name, application number, roll number, exam date, time, and center. After the exam is over, the UGC NET admit card will be required for further stages of the recruitment process, such as document verification, counseling, and final selection. Therefore, it is important to keep the admit card safe and secure until the entire recruitment process is completed. In case you have lost your original UGC NET admit card, you can download a duplicate copy from the official website of the National Testing Agency NTA by logging in with your registration number and password. In conclusion, the UGC NET admit card is an important document that should be preserved carefully even after the exam is over. It will be required for further stages of the recruitment process, and therefore, it is advisable to keep it safe and secure until the entire process is completed.

Teaching Aptitude: Nature of teaching, methods of teaching, factors affecting teaching, evaluation system, learners characteristics, teaching aids, evolution system.

Logical Reasoning: Indian logic, analogies, deductive and inductive reasoning and structure of argument, categorical propositions, square of opposition, mood and figure, formal and informal fallacies.

Information and Communication Technology: Basics of Internet, General abbreviation and terminology, emailing, questions related to virus, social media, memory RAM and ROM, Datatype Conversions

Data Interpretation: Bar graph, table related question, Pie chart, mapping and diagrammatic data, quantitative and qualitative data

Reasoning and Maths: Blood relation, distance and directions, coding and decoding, alphabet question, In maths average, percentage, ratio proportion, compound internet number series, time and distance, etc.

Reading Comprehensions: There is no specific topic related to this section. It is crucial for a candidate to read newspapers, practice reading comprehension, etc.
