Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Introduces BSW and MSW Programme; Details Inside

The School of Social and Behavioural Science has launched the Bachelor of Social Work Honours Programme with research in their UG programme list and the Master of Social Work course in the PG programme list.  

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has introduced two new programmes namely the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Honours Programme with research and the Master of Social Work (MSW) course. These courses will be taught through the School of Social and Behavioural Sciences. The BSW programme is being offered at our Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses. The BSW programme is a multidisciplinary course integrating social work principles with research methodologies, field experience, and global exposure. 

Highlights of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham BSW Programme

Students will gain insights from psychology, economics, political science, and technology, equipping them with a subtle understanding of societal dynamics. Students will also learn the fundamentals of topics like welfare policies, human behaviour, community development, counselling, advocacy, social justice, and gender.

The students will be able to develop their critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and research competencies to achieve advanced coursework and independent research under the guidance of faculty mentors.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's MSW programme is offered at Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses. The curriculum blends interdisciplinary learning, applied research, field experience and global exposure to shape leaders in social work.
