NTA has extended the last date for CUET 2024 registration till April 05, 2024 at 9.50 PM on the official website- cuetug.ntaonline.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2024) for admission to prestigious universities across the country. Scheduled between May 15 and 31, the examination will adopt a hybrid mode.
The CUET UG examination will adhere to the revised syllabus of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
Earlier, there was uncertainty among students regarding the syllabus alignment, as the old syllabus of NCERT was initially retained for CUET UG despite updates elsewhere. As per reports, the CUET UG 2024 examination will indeed reflect the new NCERT syllabus, allaying concerns among candidates.
In the revised NCERT syllabus six chapters in Chemistry and three in Biology have been removed, with reductions and exclusions observed across other subjects as well. These modifications were in line with the National Education Policy 2020, aiming to streamline syllabi and align with modern educational paradigms.
With many students having already undergone 12th board exams based on the new NCERT syllabus, there is a degree of relief among candidates.
In Biology, topics such as reproduction in organisms and environmental issues have been omitted, while Chemistry sees exclusions in chapters like Solid State and Polymers. Mathematics and Physics have also undergone revisions, with removals and adjustments made in various chapters.
