IISc Bangalore offers short course on 'The Sheer Joy of Mathematics' in January 2024

IISc's Centre for Continuing Education is conducting a short course on 'The Sheer Joy of Mathematics' in January 2024. 

Minimum qualification needed to apply is students pursuing BSc/MSc (Science stream, any year), BE/BTech/MTech/ME (any disciplline any year), teachers (Class 11 and 12 and higher in science stream), and those with non-science backgrounds who are curious about mathematics and are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.

The main topics are - Polynomials, Excursions in Geometry, Differential Equations and using a 3D printer for math visualization - possibilities and challenges.

General Instructions to apply for IISc Bangalore's 'The Sheer Joy of Mathematics'

Following are the instructions to apply for this course:

• If you are first time user, please register at the portal. A verification link will be sent to the registered e-mail address to verify the e-mail address.If you have not recieve any verification link checkout you'r SPAM.
• After verification, please login to the portal using the Username (email address provided during registration) and password.
• Select the course you want to apply under the list of courses and click on “Apply Now” link
• Fill all the fields, upload photograph, select the level (student/faculty/industry) of participant you would belong to and upload recommendation letter.
• Click on pay option where in you will be taken to gateway page.
• Please select the payment option (credit card/debit card/net banking) at the gateway page and complete the payment for which an acknowledgement mail will be received from CCE.
