IISER Entrance Exam 2023

IISER 2023 Application form is releasing on April 15. Candidates will be able to fill the IISER online application form in the window between April 15 to May 25. IISER offers admission through three channels which are namely KVPY Channel, JEE Advanced Channel and IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). The application process for IAT will start from April 15. IISER will also provide the IISER IAT 2023 application correction window, where candidates who have applied for the IISER 2023 admission can correct the details which were earlier filled with incorrect information. IISER Entrance Exam 2023 application correction window will start from May 28, 11:00 am and the last date to correct the details will be May 29 by 5:00 pm. IISER Entrance Exam 2023 is scheduled to be held on June 17, 2023.

IISER Entrance Exam 2023 Overall Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals or PIO or OCI in order to apply through KVPY or IAT channel. Candidates who are NOT Indian nationals or PIO or OCI can apply for admission only through the JEE (Advanced) channel.
  • Candidates must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) exam with science stream in 2022 or 2023 from any board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE.
  • Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Candidates belonging to other categories should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.

IISER Entrance Exam 2023 Application Fee

  • Rs.2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories.
  • Rs.1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities, persons registered as Kashmiri migrants and SC/ST category.
  • USD 100 for foreign nationals.
  • Application fee is non-refundable

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BS-MS dual degree programme offered by them. On the basis of a candidate’s score in the IISER entrance exam (also known as IISER aptitude test), he/she can secure admission at IISER located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, or Tirupati. Candidates who cleared their Class 12 in the Science stream are eligible to apply for the IISER entrance exam 2023. As per the IISER entrance exam pattern, there are a total of 60 objective questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration.
