The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) hosted a prestigious Round Table Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The event, held in Mir Anis Hall of the university was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Najma Akhtar (Padma Shri), Vice Chancellor, JMI as the Chief Guest.
CEOs, Directors, and Heads from around two dozen renowned organizations across various sectors gathered at this exclusive conference. The event aimed to create a dynamic platform for key stakeholders actively engaged in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship to converge and collaborate. This gathering was marked by insightful discussions and fruitful deliberations on topics of paramount importance.
The objectives of the Round Table Conference included - Facilitate Knowledge Exchange by encouraging the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices among participating institutes to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, Strengthen Collaborative Initiatives, Exploring opportunities for collaboration, joint projects, and research partnerships to positively impact the start-up ecosystem, Creating Networking Opportunities by providing a conducive environment for networking, enabling participants to establish valuable connections with potential mentors, investors, and industry experts.
Another aim was to Showcase Success Stories by celebrating and showcasing the success stories of start-ups and entrepreneurs nurtured by respective organizations, inspiring others to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions.
The conference featured thought-provoking roundtable discussions on the following topics- Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Institutions, Building Effective Incubation and Acceleration Programs, Leveraging Collaboration in Creating a Better Start-up Ecosystem, Distinguished speakers, experts in their respective fields, shared their valuable insights, during the event.
This conference also deliberated on the possibilities of the collaborations among Industry, academia and govt. departments to share the resources and to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship among youth of the country.
