Vice Chancellor of University of Delhi Prof. Yogesh Singh said that the tradition of documentation is not very established in modern India and we fail to document things. He said that earlier this tradition may have been well organized in India, but now there is a need to establish it in a systematic manner.

Vice Chancellor said that when there was a discussion on organizing the centenary year celebrations of the University, we tried to look at the documents related to the programs that would have been organized on the completion of 25 years, 50 years and 75 years of the university so that the we can get help to organise centenary program, but no further information regarding those programs were available in the university. Therefore, it was decided that all the programs and things related to the centenary celebration should be documented. The above book is a good document in the same series which will prove to be very beneficial in the coming years. After Modi's arrival, the sentiments expressed by the teachers of University of Delhi for Prime Minister Modi through social media have also been saved in the same manner in this book.
