Mumbai University: Lab assistant of Bhiwandi-based college arrested for leaking question paper

Exam invigilator caught a student red handed with leaked commerce question paper in his mobile phone. Mumbai University raised a suspicion about paper leak, later the accussed got arrested.

Mumbai University: Azad Maidan police arrested a laboratory assistant of a Bhiwandi based college for allegedly leaking the question paper of commerce V examination. 

As per TOI report, the police said that the role of the accussed Rajnikant Gajanan Mouryam was identified after the Mumbai University raised a suspicion that the paper had been leaked from the college he is employed with.

As per the FIR, while the complainant was posted as junior invigilator in the examination hall, he noticed one student with suspicious behaviour and when the examiner checked him thoroughly he found the question paper of commerce V in his mobile phone.

Police have claimed that the student had question paper alomost an hour before the exam and so it is a clear case of paper leak. The student who was caught with the question paper is studying at South Mumbai College and his centre was at Siddharth College for the ongoing semester V exam.

"Answers to objective questions were also written on the mobile phone of the examinee," said a police officer.

"We then conducted a probe during which Mourya's role was identified after which he was brought to the police station and arrested," said an officer.

"we also need to get details on how he managed to get the question paper before and the money he earned from it," an investigator said.
