6 DU Colleges Make it to Top 10 National List, With Hindu College Leading

In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, released by the Union Ministry of Education, the University of Delhi (DU) has shown impressive improvements. The university has moved up 5 places from the previous year, achieving the 6th position among universities.

DU Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh highlighted that last year, DU had also made a notable rise, moving up 2 places to secure the 11th position in the university category. This year, DU has further advanced by 7 places in the Overall Ranking, now standing at 15th position. Prof. Singh congratulated everyone involved, attributing the progress to teamwork and dedicated effort.

In addition to the university rankings, DU has excelled in the college category. For the first time, 6 colleges from DU have been included in the top 10 list of colleges across the country. Hindu College has been ranked first, Miranda House second, and St. Stephen's College third. Furthermore, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College is ranked 5th, Kirori Mal College is 9th, and Lady Shri Ram College for Women is 10th.

Regarding the overall ranking, DU has made significant strides. This year, the university is positioned 15th overall, a notable improvement from last year’s 22nd place. Additionally, in the Research Institute category, DU has climbed 3 places to achieve the 14th position, up from 17th last year.

Prof. Singh expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts of faculty, students, principals, staff, and all associated with DU. He is hopeful that the university and its affiliated colleges will continue to achieve even better results in the future and set new records in all categories.
