Bihar State Universities To Invite Applications for 4108 Assistant Professor Posts; Details Inside

BSUSC to begin assistant professor recruitment in Bihar for a total of 4108 vacancies to overcome the shortage of teachers in 13 state universities. Out of the total open positions, 755 are backlog vacancies. 

The Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC) will begin assistant professor recruitment in Bihar soon. The recruitment will be conducted for 4108 assistant professor positions. The interview for recruitment will start on May 24. Out of 4108 vacancies, 755 are backlog vacancies. Along with this, the appointment of teachers will be continued by phase-wise interviews. As per the new education policy, subject-wise teachers are required. 

The authorities have notified that the interview for the Philosophy subject will be conducted on the first day. After this, the date of application will be released for the candidates of other subjects, as reported by News 18.

Reportedly, the high court has put the recruitment process of Assistant Professor in Bihar on hold due to non-compliance of the reservation roster in the recruitment notification in 2020. The stay has now been lifted and the first interview was scheduled on May 24, 2024. The stay was lifted when the education department prepared a revised roster and presented it to the University Service Commission, as reported by ETvBharat. 

The vacancies are to be filled on the basis of reservation. The reserved seats for the EBC category are 299, followed by 296 vacancies for SC, 39 for ST, 76 for BC and 45 for the WBC category.
