According to Professor Amita Bajpai from Lucknow Education department, Lucknow University is going to begin a programme called ‘Education for Happiness’ in the M.Ed curriculum from the upcoming academic year in order to teach the real meaning of happiness to the students and make them acquainted with its Indian concept. Children these days are looking for pleasure in the wrong places, their concept of happiness is fallacious. Happiness comes from within but they seek it in the material world. The university, through this course, wants them to learn the real meaning of happiness and make acquainted them with its Indian concept. She said that the course is yet to begin still it has begun gaining momentum among the students.
