English Language is the most scoring section in RBI Grade B exam. Candidates must have a clear understanding of grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. Read below on how to prepare for RBI Grade B English Language section. 

How to prepare for RBI Grade B English?

English Language demands proficiency in Grammar, Comprehension and Vocabulary. If that is coupled with the right strategy, candidates can crack the exam. English Language section is one of the most scoring sections. Before beginning with the preparation, candidates must acquaint themselves with the exam pattern and syllabus. Candidates must clear their basics and concepts. The English Language section of RBI Grade B will consists of 30 questions in Phase I and three questions in Phase II exam. Total marks allotted this section for Phase I is 30 while it is 100 for Phase II. In this article, we have discussed regarding RBI Grade B 2020 preparation tips for English Language for Phase I and II.

How to prepare for RBI Grade B English Language 2020 for Phase I?

  • Questions in RBI Grade B 2020 English Language will be asked from Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension, Error Spotting, Para jumbles and Vocabulary - Antonyms & Synonyms , Idioms & Phrases.
  • According to RBI Grade B syllabus, the Fill in the blanks consists of two to three questions of moderate level. Read the question carefully and then check the options to mark. Build a strong vocabulary for acing this topic. Candidates must have grammatical knowledge of the words is also important.
  • The standard of Reading Comprehension will be Easy to Moderate level. There will be 15 questions. Read the beginning and the end of the paragraph first to get an idea about the matter the passage is talking about. Mark the answers carefully.
  • The Error Spotting will comprise two to three questions. The questions will be easy to moderate. Candidates must have sound knowledge of basic grammar. Make sure candidates thoroughly prepare the grammar well.
  • The para jumbles will have four to five questions. The difficulty level of such questions will be moderate.
  • There will be four to five questions on Vocabulary. The level of questions will be moderate. Read the options carefully.

RBI Grade B 2020 Preparation Tips for Phase II

  • According to RBI Grade B exam pattern 2020, the English Language of Phase II will be a descriptive type paper. It consists of Essay Writing, Precis Writing, and Comprehension. Check below the strategy to ace this paper.
  • For Essay, candidates must practice current affairs. Read a lot regarding financial and economic topics. Revision is compulsory.
  • For Precis writing, candidates must practice by writing a summary of the editorials. Carefully mention all the points so that you do not miss any important information.
  • For Comprehension, practice through previous years’ question papers and mock papers.
