RBI Grade B 2024 notification has been released on July 19, 2024 to fill up a total of 94 vacancies. Interested candidates need to apply online for the exam from July 25 to August 16, 2024. The age limit prescribed for the exam is between 21 and 30 years. Candidates must hold a graduation degree to apply for the exam. Read below for more details.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released RBI Grade B notification 2024 on July 19, 2024. The notification has been released to fill up a total of 94 vacancies for the direct recruitment of Grade B Officers in Combined Seniority Group (CSG) streams. RBI Grade B application form 2024 will be available from July 25 to August 16, 2024. Only online applications will be accepted for the exam. RBI Grade B 2024 exam dates have been announced. The Phase 1 exam will be held on September 8, 2024. The Phase 2 exam for DR (General) post will be held on October 19, 2024. Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam.

RBI Grade B Eligibility 2024

RBI Grade B eligibility in terms of age limit, educational qualification and number of attempts is given below.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years. For MPhil and PhD, the upper age limit is 32 and 34, respectively. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

RBI Grade B application form needs to be filled online only. Candidates should not submit RBI Grade B application form offline. Candidates are not required to submit the hard copy of the application form. The application process comprises various steps such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed online form, previewing the application form, uploading the scanned left thumb impression and handwritten declaration, paying the application fees and take printout of the application form. The steps to fill RBI Grade B application form are given below:

  •  Visit the official website of RBI
  • Click on the RBI Grade B registration link to register for the exam
  • Candidates need to enter the required details in the registration form
  •  After successful registration, registration ID and password are generated
  • In the detailed application form, candidates need to enter basic details, personal details, educational qualification, communication details, choose exam centres, etc.
  •  After entering the details, candidates should preview the application form and submit it
  • Candidates should upload the handwritten declaration and left thumb impression
  • They should pay the application fees and submit it
  • ·       Take the printout of the transaction receipt

Q:   Can I change the details entered in the RBI Grade B application form after final submission?

A:
The details entered in the RBI Grade B application form cannot be changed after final submission. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the details carefully before final submission. Candidates can edit the details if any while previewing the application form. The application form of RBI Grade B can be filled online only. The application fee can be paid online. The application fee is INR 850 for General/OBC categories and INR 100 for SC/ST/PwDB candidates. The admit card will be issued to all the registered candidates. The admit card is issued based on the details entered in the application form. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form.

Q:   What is the application fee for RBI Grade B exam?

A:
RBI Grade B application fee is INR 850 for General/OBC and INR 100 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Applicants are also required to pay the GST along with the application fee. The application fee can be paid online through UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet banking, etc. The application fee is exempted for RBI officials. The application fee is not refunded once it is paid. Candidates can check below the structure of RBI Grade B application fee. a) Unreserved, OBC INR 850 + 18 per cent GST b) ST, SC, PwD INR 100 + 18 per cent GST

Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).

Postgraduation in any discipline/Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55 per cent marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.

Graduate candidates should note that any technical or professional course from recognised university or institute that is taken after Class 12 and is at least three years duration or those possessing professional or technical qualifications which are considered equivalent to professional or technical graduation are eligible to apply for the exam.

Postgraduate level candidates should note that any technical or professional course taken after graduation and is at least two years duration or recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional or technical post-graduation will be eligible for the exam.

RBI Grade B Phase 1 Exam Pattern 2024

The Phase I exam comprises a single paper for 200 marks. The exam consists of four sections, General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. A total of 200 questions are asked in the exam. Candidates are given 120 minutes to solve all the questions.

RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam Pattern 2024

Paper I and III of Phase 2 comprise both objective and descriptive type questions, while Paper II is completely a descriptive test. The duration of Paper I and III is 120 minutes (30 minutes for the objective test and 90 minutes for the descriptive test) while Paper-II is held for 90 minutes. Candidates need to type the descriptive type answers with the help of the keyboard. The total marks of the test are 300, each section is for 100 marks.

Candidates must upload the photograph and signature in RBI Grade B application form as per the dimensions specified by RBI. The specifications for uploading different documents are given below. The size of signature should be in JPEG/JPG format in between 10 and 20 KBs and the pixels should be 140 X 60 The size of the photograph should be between 20 and 50 kbs in JPEG/JPG format The handwritten declaration should be in between 20 and 50 kbs and the pixel should be 140 X 60 The Left Thumb Impression should be between 10 and 20 KBs and pixel should be 140 X 60.

RBI Grade B handwritten declaration is a text which candidates need to write in their own handwriting and in capital letters. The handwritten declaration should be written in English . By writing the RBI Grade B handwritten declaration, candidates agree to the fact that the details provided in the application form are correct and valid. The text of the handwritten declaration is given below: I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.
