The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) released the UP Police OMR Sheet Filling Procedure & Exam Day Guidelines on February 7, 2024, on the official website. Candidates must adhere to the OMR-based exam format and answer 150 questions across various subjects. UP Police Bharti 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 17 & 18, 2024.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced an important notice on the official website regarding the procedure for the UP Police Constable Written Exam on February 7, 2024. According to the official update, the written exam will consist of objective-type questions & will be conducted in a Pen & Paper mode through the OMR Sheet. The UP Police Question Paper will contain 150 questions of total 300 marks, which should be completed by the candidates within 2 hours.

UP Police Constable exam will have a negative marking. Q:   What is the New Exam Date for UP Police Constable 2024 exam?

The UP Police New Exam Date has not been officially announced by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). According to the CM Yogi's announcement regarding paper cancellation, the UP Police 2024 exam will be re-conducted by the board within 6 months. The UPPRPB will soon release the UP Police Re-Exam Date on the official website- uppbpb.gov.in. Q:   When should I report at the UP Police Constable exam center?

A:

The reporting time for the UP Police Constable exam center is usually mentioned on the admit card. You should check your admit card carefully to find out the exact reporting time for your exam center. As a general rule, you should aim to reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card. This will give you enough time to complete the entry formalities such as verification of admit card and ID proof, biometric verification, and other security checks. It is important to reach the exam center on time to avoid any last-minute rush or inconvenience. Candidates who arrive late may not be allowed to take the exam, and their candidature may be cancelled.

Q:   Can I carry a bag inside the UP Police Constable exam centre?

A:

No, you are generally not allowed to carry any bags or electronic items inside the UP Police Constable Exam Centre. The exam conducting authority usually has strict rules and regulations regarding the items that candidates are allowed to carry inside the exam center. Candidates are usually only allowed to carry their UP Police admit card, a valid photo ID proof, and a transparent water bottle inside the exam center. Any other items, such as bags, mobile phones, watches, calculators, or any electronic devices, are not allowed inside the exam center. If you need to carry any other items, such as medicines or medical equipment, you may need to contact the exam conducting authority in advance and obtain permission. In such cases, you may be required to produce a valid medical Certificate or other relevant documents.

  • Negative marking applies, with -0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer or multiple answers filled for the same question
  • While General questions will be presented in Hindi or English, other subjects will be in Hindi. In case of ambiguity, the English version will prevail
  • Questions found to be incorrect or unsuitable will be cancelled and marks will be distributed accordingly, as per the court order

Candidates need to follow the given UP Police Constable Exam Day Guidelines at the exam centres:

  • Candidates should reach the UP Police exam centre at the time indicated against the reporting time in their UP Police admit card 2024
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter after the gate closing time
  • No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination
  • Upon completion of the examination, candidates are advised to wait for instructions from Invigilator. The candidates will be allowed to move out only one at a time
  • The UP Police admit card is provisional, subject to satisfying the UP Police Constable Eligibility Criteria as given in the Information Bulletin
  • Candidates are advised to verify the location of the exam centre, a day in advance so that they do not face any problems on the day of the exam
  • If religion/ customs require you to wear specific attire, then please visit the exam centre a little early for thorough checking and frisking
  • No candidate would be allowed to enter the centre without admit card, self-declaration undertaking, valid ID proof, and proper frisking
  • Before reaching the centre, candidates must enter the required details in the Self Declaration (Undertaking) in legible handwriting, paste their photograph and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the admit card
  • PwBD candidates (with a disability of 40% and more) will be allowed an extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination
  • PwBD candidates must bring a PwBD certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming relaxation under the PwBD category. The Scribe provided by the NTA must also carry his/ her own Self Declaration (Undertaking) regarding educational qualification, passport-size photograph, valid government identity, and self-declaration (Undertaking)
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any personal belongings, electronic devices, or mobile phones to the examination centres
  • Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed

According to the previous trend, the UP Police 2024 exam will be held in two shifts. Candidates will be informed about their UP Police Shift Timing & Exam Centre along with their UP Police Admit Card.
