Assam Police Recruitment (SI) CWT 2022 Admit Card Out: Date, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

Office of The Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam conducts exam for recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Un-Armed Branch) of police. The advertisement for Assam Police SI Exam will be published on the official website of SLPRB. The recruitment is conducted in several stages, such as written examination, PET/PMT, etc. Shortlisted candidates will be posted anywhere within the state. Candidates need to appear for a written exam, extra-curricular activities, computer proficiency and physical efficiency test to clear the exam.

The admit card for the written exam was released one week before the exam date. The recruitment board has not announced the exam date yet. The candidates must carry the Assam Police 2022 admit card to secure entry to the exam centre.

The candidates need to read and understand the topics given in the Assam Police 2022 Syllabus so that they can understand the level of preparation required for the exam. They are also required to prepare for each and every topic so that they can score better in the exam and ensure their selection.

The exam was conducted in offline mode. The candidates will be required to mark their answers in the OMR sheet provided by the exam conducting authority. There will be a negative marking of 1/2 mark in the paper. It means that for each wrong answer half marks will be deducted from the score of the candidate. There will be no sectional cutoff in the paper and no individual sectional time limit will be assigned. Assam Police 2022 Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria are essential to be considered eligible for the post of sub-inspector in the Assam police:

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, ordinarily residents of Assam.

Age: The age of the applicants must be between 20 years and 26 years. Candidates belonging to SC, ST(H) or ST(P) categories will get the age relaxation of 5 years. The date of birth written in the matriculation certificate will be deemed as final for considering the age of the candidate. Candidate must be born on or before 01-07-2001 and on or after 01-07-1995.

Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree from a recognised College/University.

• Applicants must not have a high colour vision or squint eyes
• Applicants must not have any physical deformities
• Candidates with certain diseases such as hernia, piles, diabetes, respiratory diseases etc. aren’t eligible to apply

EyeSight:

• Applicant's near vision should be normal and distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction

The recruitment board notified 306 vacancies for the Sub-Inspector in the Un-Armed Branch (UB). This number of vacancies is less compared to the previous year's vacancies. In the last notification, the number of vacancies was 597. Note: Candidates were awarded marks for Extra-curricular Activities. NCC certificates holders, home guards, sportsperson and those who have extra academic achievements will get extra marks under this category. The final merit list will be prepared by combining marks obtained in written tests, physical efficiency tests, computer proficiency and extra-curricular activities.
