RRB NTPC exam 2019 likely after Dec 15; Group D exam in Jan 2020

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are likely to conduct the first stage CBT of RRB NTPC exam 2019 on December 15. RRB Group D exam will be conducted in January 2020. RRB NTPC exam was scheduled to be conducted from June to September 2019 while the RRB Group D exam was to be held from September to October. The exams have been postponed since the RRBs are yet to finalise the exam conducting authority.

There are lots of speculations related to the exam dates of RRB NTPC and Group D. Few media reports also suggests that the exam will be held in January-February 2020. Also Read: RRB NTPC admit card in February, exams in March.

The admit cards for both the exams will be released four days before the exam. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter user ID and password. The hard copy of the admit card will not be sent to candidates by post.

The first stage CBT as per RRB NTPC exam pattern 2019  comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The test paper will have total 100 questions.

RRB Group D exam pattern 2019 comprises questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs. There will be total 100 objective type multiple choice questions in RRB Group D exam.

A total of 35,208 RRB NTPC vacancies will be filled to the post of Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master posts.

Total 1,03,769 RRB Group D vacancies will be filled to the post of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant Pointsman in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
