M.Sc. Biotechnology at Modern College, Shivajinagar.
Placements: The college is star-rated under DBT, and it offers opportunities to study at Royal Melbourne University in Australia, RASA Life Science Pune, and applied nanomaterials. Many students from here go to Sydney and Boston. ICMR, Bharat Biotech, and Cipla are Indian hiring companies that offer packages of 6 lacs. Many students get internships abroad.
Infrastructure: Colleges provide students with a wide variety of sports, including basketball, football, cricket, and table tennis. Apart from regular sports, colleges have cycling clubs. We have Wi-Fi in the library and labs. Our classrooms are spacious; we have an auditorium and a conference hall. Apart from hostels, we have many rented rooms and PGs outside the college campus. Mess food has good quality; it is sufficient for one person.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. We have an instrument room, a media preparation room, and a separate incubation center for animal and plant culture. A specially equipped laboratory is available for Master's students. Our college is autonomous; they created our curriculum. Even achieving 24 marks as passing is very difficult; you need to prepare very well for the exam.
Other: I have a B.Sc. in biotechnology and want to explore more, so I am deciding to pursue a Masters in biotechnology.

Good for studying biotechnology.
Placements: The placements offered are good for the bright students in the class. The rest have to struggle. But usually, the package provided is average. The students are usually recruited into the quality checking and quality assurance department of the company if not the lab work is provided.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The labs are amazing and are well-equipped. All the practicals can be done with such equipment. Wi-Fi is not provided, but the internet can be accessed from the computer lab of the department which is accessible to all the students.
Faculty: The faculty members in the college are okay, some of them teach well, but some keep on changing every year most of them prefer teaching via the presentation method on the smart board, but most of them prefer blackboard, chalk and talk methodology for teaching the students.

Modern College is a contradiction to its name.
Placements: There were no placements in this college. The teachers nor the seniors helped or even guided about the placements going on in the college. Placement cell is present, but students have no idea about the process of registration. They have so many students in various departments still there is no placement guarantee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to the mark, and the buildings are too small, and a lot of departments are fitted into one building. Also, amenities like seminar hall etc., are on the 4th floor and the gathering room is too small to accommodate a large number of people.
Faculty: The course curriculum got designed by the university, which is repeating over the semesters. The faculty gives just bookish knowledge ignoring the overall development of the student. The faculty should implement new methods of teaching and bring out other talents in students.
Other: The college has a narrow-minded attitude and in no way, lets you explore your boundaries. There are hardly any supportive faculty members for new ideas. Gathering, exhibition and competition are only academic-based and don't encourage other aspects of a students personality.
