TS EdCET 2025: The exam conducting authority TCHE (Telangana Council of Higher Education), has released the exam dates of TG EdCET 2025. As per the dates the exam will be held on June 1, 2025. The exam will be held by Kakatiya University, on behalf of the TCHE. The detailed notification is expected to be released in March 2025. As per previous year dates, candidates can expect the TSEdCET notification 2025 to be released in March 2025. Along with the notification the exam body will also activate the registration link for candidates to fill in the TSEdCET application form 2025. To register for the test, candidates must visit the official website - tgche.ac.in. Students meeting the minimum eligibility criteria can apply until the last date. Candidates who successfully submit the application form will be issued the TSEdCET admit card 2025 to appear in the exam. Candidates qualifying in the exam will be shortlisted for the BEd course offered by participating universities in Telangana. Candidates can check all the details related to the TG EdCET 2025 - dates, registration link, exam pattern, syllabus, etc.

What is TS EdCET?

TSEdCET Reservation Criteria 2025

There are reservation criteria in the TSEdCET exam as per the regulations set by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). As per the notification the seats are allocated based on categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates. TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

To fulfil TSEdCET 2025 eligibility criteria candidates should meet the below-mentioned requirements:

Nationality/locality 

  • All candidates applying for the TSEdCET exam should be Indian nationals
  • All candidates should satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974

Age limit

  • Candidates should be a minimum of 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which TSEdCET notification is out
  • There is no maximum age limit required to appear for the TSEdCET exam

Educational Qualification

  • All candidates should clear their graduation in BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BE/ BTech/ BCA/ BBM or post-graduation in the relevant subject or five-year integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other equivalent qualification with at least 50 percent aggregate marks. For candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ BC (A/B/C/D/E)/ PH category minimum mark required in the qualifying exam is 40 percent.
  • Candidates securing a minimum of 55% marks in BE/ BTech with Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply
  • Candidates who have cleared MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BL/ LLB/ BA (Languages)/ BOL and any other such professional course are not eligible for BEd admissions via TSEdCET

Physical Sciences

  • Candidates who have cleared BSc / BE/ B Tech with Physics and Chemistry/ Allied Material Sciences as one of the subjects. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) as a subject in Class XII.

Biological Sciences

  • Candidates who have cleared BSc / BSc (Home Science) with Botany and Zoology/ Allied Life Sciences as Part-II group subjects. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Biological Sciences as a subject in Class XII.

Social Studies

  • Candidates who hold a BA/ BCom/ BBM degree. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Social Sciences as a subject in Class XII. 

English

  • Candidates who have done BA Special English/ BA English Literature/ MA English.

TSEdCET Admission Process 2025

The admission process through the TS EdCET 2025 exam includes the following steps:

  • TS EdCET application form: For TS EdCET 2025 registrations, candidates must fill out the application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. The TSEdCET 2025 application fee of INR 650 also needs to be paid in online mode.  
  • TS EdCET admit card: After the application forms were filled and submitted successfully, candidates were supposed to download their TSEdCET 2025 admit card/ hall ticket from the official website of the exam. Candidates could download the admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth on the TSEdCET website.
  • TS EdCET exam: Next, candidates had to appear for the B.Ed entrance exam at the allotted TSEdCET 2025 exam centre. The TSEdCET 2025 exam contained multiple-choice questions of 150 marks which candidates had to complete in two hours.

  • TS EdCET result: TSEdCET 2025 result was declared on the official website of the exam. Candidates scoring at least 25 per cent marks (that is, 38 marks) were qualified for the education common entrance test. However, for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST category and women candidates appearing for Physical Sciences/ Mathematics methodology there are no minimum marks required to qualify for the exam, informs the official website.
  • TS EdCET rank card: A separate rank list was prepared for each methodology wherein candidates were ranked based on marks they secured in the exam. Candidates could download their TSEdCET 2025 rank card from the official website of the exam.
  • TS EdCET counselling: Lastly, candidates had to appear for a web-based TSEdCET 2025 counselling session. Here, candidates were allotted seats at the Colleges of Education in Telangana State in their respective methodologies according to their rank.

The exam body releases the TSEdCET 2025 application form on its official website. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be able to fill out the application form. The application form is the first step for aspiring candidates. While filling out the for, candidates will have to fill in their details, academic qualifications, and category information and upload documents like a photograph and signature. In addition to these, they will also have to select their preferred exam center and methodology subject along with paying the application fee, based on category, via online via debit/credit card or net banking.
