IGNOU BEd Exam Centres 2025: The exam conducting authority, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) sets the exam centers where the IGNOU BEd entrance exam will be conducted. Q: When is the IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam?
The exam body Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is expected to release the IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam dates soon. Candidates who successfull submit the application form of IGNOU BEd 2025 before the last date will be issued the admit card to appear in the exam. The IGNOU BEd entrance exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for BEd course offered at IGNOU through distance learning mode.
Q: Is IGNOU BEd approved by NCTE?
As IGNOU is one of the largest open univsities in the world and provides qualify education. The IGNOU BEd programme is recognised by the NCTE vide their Letters No. F3/DL-83/99/7807-7812 dated 31/05/1999 and NRC/NCTE/OL-83/dated 23/10/2015 is offered in NCTE-approved B.Ed. Q: Is IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test held in online or offline mode?
The exam body will conduct the IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test in pen and paper based offline mode. Candidates who submit the application form successfully will have to appear in the exam in pen-paper based mode. The question paper will have multiple choice questions.
Q: How many times IGNOU B.Ed exam been held?
The IGNOU B.Ed entrance test is conducted by the exam body once a year. The objectice of the IGNOU BEd entrance exam is to provide admission to eligible candidates into the B.Ed courses. The IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test is conducted in as many as 106 test city centers. Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be able to fill in the application form before the last date.

Q: What is the duration of the IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Test?
As per the exam pattern of IGNOU BEd entrance exam, the time duration of the entrance test is two hours. The exam is conducted in pen-paper based offline mode and there is no negative marking in the exam. There will be 120 questions which candidates will have to answer during this time frame and each question will carry 1 mark each. There will be no negative marking in the IGNOU BEd entrance exam.
Q: Whom to contact if I fail to download the IGNOU B.Ed admit card?
In case candidates misplace their admit card or if they find any discrepancies in their admit card or, if they face any problem at the time of downloading the admit card they can approach the help line (0120-6895200) between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Q: Can I show the soft copy of the admit card at the exam centre?
No only the hard copy of the IGNOU BEd hall ticket will be allowed at the exam centre. No soft copies of the admit card, or screen shots or photo will be allowed. The IGNOU B.Ed admit card is the mandatory documents to be carried at the exam centre in hard copy which is its original format. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter in the examination hall.
Q: What if I misplace the admit card before the exam?
Candidates are advised to keep their admit card safe till they get admisison into the BEd course as the IGNOU B.Ed admit card is a mandatory document for the exam candidates must at least download 2 copies of the admit card and keep one copy safe. They will also be able to download the admit card till the day of the exam. However, if candidates misplace the admit card they must note that they can loose the chance to appear in the exam.
