AP PECET Pattern 2025: The exam conducting body of the AP PECET prescribes the Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. The syllabus tests the candidate’s physical strength for the offered courses i.e. BP. Ed and DP.Ed. The duration of the courses is of 2-year and will be conducted at the University’s campus. Each year, the physical entrance exam is held in two parts i.e. (a) Physical Efficiency Test and (b) Skill Test in Game. For the academic session 2022-23, the official notification and schedule have been released. Candidates can go through the detailed pattern and syllabus for the AP PECET exam.

Q:   What is the Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?

A:

The Andhra Pradesh PECET exam is conducted by the APSCHE. It is a physical efficiency and game skill tests which will be conducted at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. The exam will be held to shortlist candidates for BPEd and DPEd courses provided by participating institutes in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Q:   What is the Andhra Pradesh PECET skill test?

A:

After the four compulsory events in the PET test, candidates will have to appear in the skill test. The skill test in games is of a maximum of 100 marks. The skills of the candidate shall be tested in any one of the following games opted by the candidate:

Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Shuttle Badminton, Football, Tennis, Hand Ball, Volleyball and Hockey.

Q:   What is the Physical Efficiency Test in the Andhra Pradesh PECET exam?

A:

As described by the exam body under the exam pattern, the physical efficiency test is a mandatory test which candidates will have to take part in order to quallify in the exam. The maximum marks of PET is 400 marks. For each of the events, marks shall will be awared by using the conversion tables approved by the Andhra Pradesh PECET Committee.

Q:   What is the age limit for Andhra Pradesh Pecet?

A:

The Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria is prescribed by the exam body Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur under the supervision of APSCHE. As per the Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria, India citizen who have attained a minimum age of 19 years can fill in the application form. For BPEd courses, candidates must have a graduation degree, while for DPEd courses they need to have completed 10+2.

Q:   What is the Andhra Pradesh PECET eligibility criteria for B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed course?

A:

To apply for the B.P.Ed course candidates must have finished their third year of degree from recognised colleges or university in Andhra Pradesh. They must be a minimum of 19 as on July 1, 2025. Candidates will have to submit their pass certificate during counselling for final admission.

For the D.P.Ed. course candidates must be of a minimum 16 years as on July 1, 2025, and they must have passed intermediate or similar course approved by the Andhra Pradesh government. Candidates who are in their final year can also apply provided they will have to submit their qualifying certificate during counselling.

Q:   What are the qualifying marks in the Andhra Pradesh PECET?

A:

The qualifying marks in the Andhra Pradesh PECET will be 30% of the aggregate marks obtained by the student in the actual test items which is the Physical Efficiency Test for 400 Marks and Skill Test in games for 100 Marks. There is no minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories.

Q:   Can I request to change my Andhra Pradesh PECET exam centre after it is released?

A:

No, once the Andhra Pradesh PECET 2025 admit card is released, candidates cannot raise a query to change it as it will not be possible once the centre is allotted. APSCHE tries its best to allot the centre in the city of candidate's preference however, in case the city is not as per candidate's feasibililty, they are suggested to contact the helpline in advance to get it changed but the chances for the change in the exam city or centre is very slim.
