Not as bad of a college as reviews make it out to be; a lot depends on you.
Placements: As of now, about 50% of students in my batch are placed, and placements are still ongoing this year. The market isn't great, so the average package is around 8 LPA. Companies recruiting include big names like Google, TCS, Infosys, as well as smaller ones. Zepto Kirana came for a store manager role with a package of 4.5 LPA. In addition to engineering roles, a lot of consulting roles were offered by companies like Deloitte and others.
Infrastructure: The hostel offers a variety of rooms, ranging from 1-B.Ed to 8-B.Ed rooms, with both AC and non-AC options. Room location is based on CGPA, and you can choose to stay with your friends if space allows. The mess provides both veg and non-veg food, and there are multiple caterers, so the variety is decent, though it can get repetitive at times. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel but is switched off at 12:30 AM. The curfew time for the hostel is 9 PM, so students need to be inside by then.
Faculty: We have a variety of teachers as we have a flexible system known as FFCS. There are teachers who will just focus on ending the course as soon as they can, and there are some who are very involved in making students learn. This is something we have the freedom to choose. The curriculum is ever-changing and very relevant. Just last semester, they replaced one of our subjects with AWS, which is a leading course in cloud.
Other: I'm in the engineering batch at VIT and chose this course because of my interest in technology, especially in areas like AI/ML and Data Science. The best part of the course is the hands-on experience with projects, such as the insurance premium prediction system, and the opportunity to work on real-world problems.

Opportunities are there but hard work is needed.
Placements: CGPA plays an important role in the placement criteria. You need to be different from the crowd, as the crowd here is really huge. Opportunities are there for growth, but you need to be aware of things. Startup culture is not very good here as compared to tier 1 colleges.
Infrastructure: Non-vegetarian mess is good. Food is average here. The rooms are comfortable. But living in the non-AC rooms is a horrible experience because the weather is very hot. Library is good. Sports facilities are there, including a gym and swimming pool. Wi-Fi is a bit disturbing as it gets disconnected by itself.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good, and some are not good as well. But studying on your own will help you a lot. The course curriculum is relevant. For you to become an industrial expert, you cannot solely rely on the college curriculum. For that, you need to learn things on your own.
Other: There are events going on some or other days in foods. There are not that many restrictions for boys and girls as spread on social media.

Good college, great security and facilities.
Placements: In my branch (CSE core), there was an almost 90% placement rate. Most of the roles were software or hardware positions, with some consultant roles as well. Top companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, and Microsoft visit for placement drives. The highest package offered might be 60 LPA, and the lowest might be 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The rooms are well-maintained, with cleaning staff coming daily. The campus is well-secured, and there is 24/7 medical facility available. The mess serves good food, and students have the option to change their mess. There are also shops available all around the campus.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable. Some are strict, while others are lenient. The college follows a flexible credit system, allowing students to choose their preferred teachers and class timings. The exams are designed to help students cover the GATE syllabus, making them highly beneficial.
Other: VIT is known for its large crowd, but it also promotes interaction among people from different parts, allowing for diverse connections.

Bachelor of Business Administration at VIT University.
Placements: For BBA, the placements are good according to their fee structure. More than 90 percent of students were placed. The highest package is 4 to 5 LPA, and a maximum of 2 students only get this. Others will get average and low. The average package is 3 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. Most startups from Bangalore and Chennai come for placement. Mostly the roles offered are Sales and Business Development. Sometimes Finance, but rarely. They don't provide any internships; you should search for them on your own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really very good. They have good labs for students. Also, our college provides free Wi-Fi, but sometimes the signal is weak. They have a well-advanced, high-class library. I'm not a hosteller, so I don't know much about the hostel facilities. The rooms are neat and clean. The food was of average quality.
Faculty: The teachers are well-educated, and all of them hold Ph.D. degrees from top universities like IIM, and IIT. The course curriculum is related to industry readiness. Passing the semester is not that difficult. If you start preparing for the exam 2 days before, you can easily crack it. Our university follows relative grading, which means your grade is based on the class average mark.
Other: I chose VIT because VIT is well known for its reputation and rankings.

If you have money, I guess it is a good college; the 30 lakh fee is way too high.
Placements: If you get good grades, you will be able to sit in most of the companies, like if you get above 9 CGPA, then you can sit in every company, and if you get less than that 9 CGPA, then you will not be able to sit in the super dream company (10 lakh and above). Not everyone sits in the placement; those who have a good CGPA are allowed, and the highest is 75 lpa, and the lowest can vary in case the company picks you up in bulk, which will give you around 3–4 lpa.
Infrastructure: I am currently in a 2 bed AC, non-veg mess, hostel but I was allotted 4 beds non-AC due to the limited number of rooms available, so freshers might face this when they come, but after a few days it will be all adjusted. But then room quality is low because this room I am staying in has high dampness, and they have bunker beds, which are kind of comfortable, but yes, you need to adjust. They also have small cupboards, and the study table is fine. Wi-Fi is slow—I must say very slow (5 mbps). Mess is good; food is great.
Faculty: Exams are at medium level, and teachers are also fine. You will understand that if you pay attention and revise properly before exams, then 8.5 is easily secured. See, everything depends on you. If you are doing self-study, then everything will be smooth for you.
Other: It's a very crowded place; you will see students everywhere.
