Q:   Which courses of AMU are under CUET?

A: 

Aligarh Muslim University accepts Persian/4 exam to shortlist candidates for admission to seven undergraduate courses. 

The list of AMU courses, admission to which is based on performance of the candidate in CUET, is mentioned below:

  1. BSc (Hons) Community Science
  2. BA (Hons in Hindi/ Persian/ Philosopy/ Sanskrit)
  3. BVoc- Production Technology
  4. BVoc- Polymer and Coating Technology
  5. BVoc- Fashion Design & Garment Technology
  6. BSc (Hons in Geography/ Statistics)
  7. BA (Hons in Persian/4 Women's studies)

Candidates seeking admission to any of the above-listed courses need to fill out the CUET application form through the CUET official website to appear for the entrance exam. Apart from CUET, the candidates also need to register on the AMU official website for application form, counselling and Persian/9

Q:   How many marks required to get admission in AMU?

A: 

The minimum marks required for admission to AMU depends on the selected course. Generally, for all the UG courses the minimum requirement is that the candidate must have passed class 12 with a minimum 50% aggregate and for AMU PG courses admission, 50% in graduation is required.

Q:   Is AMU good for Law?

A: 

In terms of placements, AMU has maintained a good record for Law courses. As per the NIRF report 2023, the highest median package offered during 2022 placements was INR 12.30 LPA and was made to BA LLB students. There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the programmes offered at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Q:   Does AMU accept 7000 rank to get admission through NEET UG?

A: 

Yes, AMU offers admission for UG courses based on NEET UG exam. Considering the Round 5 score for the General AI category, it is possible to get into Aligarh Muslim University at a cutoff rank of 7000. The AMU cutoff 2024 based on NEET UG for the BDS course stood at, 31621 for the General AI category. A: 

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including  BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses. 

Q:   What is the NEET cut off for AMU?

A: 

AMU MBBS cut off 2023 is based on NEET scores and finally on NEET Counselling. NEET 2023 Counselling has been released up to Round 4. The university also offers BDS courses. The counselling for BDS has been concluded after Round 5. AMU Medical cutoff for NEET UG Last Round seat allotment was 8597 for MBBS and 31517 for BDS for the General category candidates belonging to All India Quota.
