Excellent college, staffs.
Placements: Approximately 40% of students apply for placements, while the others go for higher studies in our passing out batch. The average package is 2 lakhs per year, and the top roles in our course allow us to apply for many jobs in allied sectors of agriculture. For higher studies, we can get admission in foreign countries, and the government provides scholarships for these studies.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are modern, with one regional library and one library available for students. Each department has separate labs for practical work, covering areas like GPB, Pathology, Soil Science, etc. All departments have good infrastructure.
Faculty: The HOD, associate professors, and assistant professors teach students. All teachers have cleared the NET examination. The level of semester exams is hard, and the passing CGPA is 5 for these exams. Teachers use LED presentations and PPTs for lectures and also give opportunities for students to present.
Other: I belong to a farming community and have knowledge about the agriculture sector. I took the ICAR entrance exam to pursue this course. Regular theory and practical classes are positive aspects of our college. For ICAR students, NTA provides an 18,000 scholarship per semester. Annual day, agrifest, debates, and cultural days are organized by our college.

Our campus is surrounded by good nature.
Placements: Placement cell handles the process of placements in our college that provided many placements to students. Many agro-based industries visited our college to hire students. The minimum salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Around 70-80% of students get jobs.
Infrastructure: It provides one of the best government hostels. The infrastructure of the college and hostel is good. Wi-Fi is provided 24 hours in the hostel. It serves good quality food at reasonable prices. Hostel is well-maintained with cleanliness. Medical facilities provided in the hostel are good. Classrooms are fully digitalised and have free Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Faculty members in our college are famous. This course includes many subjects, so students worry about exams but exams are not difficult. Students gain good practical knowledge and score good marks in exams.
Other: I chose this course as I'm from the farming community, and the agriculture sector is the next big theme for the upcoming decade.

College of agriculture: Are these agriculture courses worth pursuing?
Placements: 25% only, and most students are thinking of pursuing an M.Sc. further or starting their own business. I would also like to mention that those interested in private jobs have some options. Every year, 3 or 4 companies come for placements, and the average package is 2 L per annum. You can easily get a private job.
Infrastructure: In college, Wi-Fi, classrooms, libraries, and laboratories for each department are available, along with fields for practical exposure. The hostel is good, and in one room, 3 students are allotted. The infrastructure of the mess is good, and the quality of food there is also satisfactory.
Faculty: The faculty is good, as every department has two faculty members working efficiently. We follow the 5th Dean committee, and the course curriculum is good and relevant to agriculture, but it is not applicable in real-life farming situations. Farmers are far ahead of these theoretical courses.

It is one of the best campuses in Gujarat, with greenery everywhere.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell that arranges placements for final-year students. Many students go abroad. They get good experience. Mainly, pesticide and seed companies come here for recruitment. They offer good salary packages to students.
Infrastructure: Good hostel facilities are provided by our college. There are free Wi-Fi services that help students to improve their studies through the Internet. There are good and clean rooms. Each room has two students. The food is good. The price is low, so everyone can afford it. Overall, the hostel is good. There are good facilities for studying at this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly. They help students whenever they need it. It is good to be a student at this college. Exams are quite hard because of the number of subjects in a semester.

Overall, it is an amazing college that ensures a safe future.
Placements: Many students were selected as veterinary officers. Dairy placements are very good with an average salary package offered of around 7 LPA. Students pursue a lot of diversified fields after BVSC and AH that include scientists, researchers, and private practice. It is very good.
Infrastructure: The hostel food is good and nourishment is also good. The infrastructure is nice with clean but common washrooms. There is no Wi-Fi. The college building and campus are very beautiful. There is a good library also. Classrooms are well furnished and the washrooms are clean too. There is a canteen.
Faculty: Our college has great faculty members with a lot of experience. Teaching is amazing. They teach us well to be good field vets. Their teaching quality is amazing. Our clinical complex offers us a lot of learning opportunities. Students learn to deal with different cases of animals.

Good Infrastructure but low placement and hard rules
Placements: About 90 per cent of students get placed an average of 300000 per annum having the highest of 372000 in session 2023. Top recruiting companies are Netafim and Agrovikas. There is a mandatory internship of each student who enrolled in courses due to its 19 credits. Most of roles offered are in marketing and sales.
Infrastructure: Our college is well-equipped with wifi, an AC classroom, a library and well-equipped field and off-field labs. The hostel has a capacity of 2 as well as 3 student capacity rooms and there is solar power electricity in the hostel. Food in the mess is hygienic and controlled and maintained by the student committee.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and many of them are IIT and NIT pass out. The course we study is not industry-relevant except for some courses like Remote sensing. Syllabus needs to be restructured. Semester exams is medium in difficulty but 20-30 % of students fail during course.
