The experience was pretty decent.
Placements: No placement was offered after graduation. Some students went on to do their Masters, while others opted for other jobs. A very small number of students were selected for internships based on their skills, not their graduation course.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are decent, and the hostel is also pretty average. The college has a library with a good selection of books, and the department is stocked with study materials and books. The hostel is located near the college campus, and the rooms are decent. The food quality is also good.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very good and helpful. They are well qualified and certified and have a high level of knowledge. The semester exams are conducted at a decent level of difficulty, and the teachers are always willing to help students prepare for them.

Overall, the college is good or average.
Placements: Almost 50 students in our class are placed. The highest package might be 9 lakh, and the lowest package might be 4 or 5 lakh. Companies like Amul, Britannia, and many more come for the recruitment. Almost everyone gets recruited by the companies. Almost 80% get internships from our college. Roles like professor are offered.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are good, helpful, caring, and kind. They are really knowledgeable, and their teaching is also good except for some faculty. The infrastructure of the college is on the verge of getting better slowly. The girls hostel is clean; the bathrooms and washrooms are almost good except for some. The food provided in the mess is eatable, but they don't provide varieties, but they almost follow hygiene; still, kids like eating outside. The sports facility is not very available; the sports club needs development, and more games should be arranged.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is almost good. Yes, the food engineering technology course is relevant as it provides placement. It does make them ready through the internship given to them for the industry. The questions in the exam are given from the syllabus and what is taught in the class itself. The passing percentage of the students might be 80%.
Other: I choose this course for its placement. It provides information and knowledge regarding the food in various aspects. The things I would like to say for the improvement are doing more practical things for better understanding and providing us with videos for better understanding. The scholarship is given timely.

M.Sc. in Physics - Batch of 2023

Improvements Needed in Infrastructure and Placement.
Placements: Companies such as Capgemini and Deloitte are frequent visitors for recruitment and also offer limited internship opportunities. The placement rate stands at around 60%, with the highest package offered being 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are a sufficient number of classrooms for various electives and batches, and the classroom size is decent. CCTV cameras are in place for security purposes. However, the labs could be improved, as there is a lack of sufficient equipment. Additionally, the medical assistance facility might need enhancement.
Faculty: The difficulty of exams depends on the semesters, the choice of electives, and, to some extent, the professors. While the professors are helpful and nice, they tend to be strict when it comes to exams and future planning. The curriculum is good and sufficient for physics.

Overall, everything is good here.
Placements: The branch that I have chosen, I am really happy with that we are having good placements. We almost have 50 students in our class. The highest package must be 9 lacs, and the lowest package that has been provided must be 5 or 4 lacs. Companies we can see, like Amul, Britannia, and many more. Almost all the students get internships in good companies for their experiences. Roles like professor, assistant professor, officer, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: It's good and is on the verge of development. The campus is beautiful. There is no ragging. Faculty are friendly and good. Overall, we can say that it's good. We can experience many things. Clubs are there for learning. Here the hostel is clean and comfortable. The food provided in the mess is also good. It's hygienic. Everyone stays peaceful. There are people who help in dealing with the mental health issue. Even we have self-defense classes for females, which is really beneficial. The fest in our college is one of the best ones.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, friendly, and they are very helpful. They care for the students and encourage them to learn more. They help them in their time of need. They are really highly qualified and well educated. Their teaching techniques are really unique and fun. Yes, this course's curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready for the industry. The semester exam is good, and whatever is taught comes from that itself. The pass percentage of students is almost 80%.
Other: This course will help us know how to use foods in beneficial ways for betterment.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2028

Journey of Gurucharan College
Placements: I am studying in 2nd semester of B.Com degree course, but I have knowledge about the placement provided by our college. Last year, Tata Consultancy and Services (TCS) company provided placement to more than 10 students who passed B.Com from Gurucharan College. The highest package provided by TCS last year was 40,000, and the lowest package was 19,000. In our college, there is no internship program, which is quite bad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facility in our college is quite good. All the technical tools required to pursue the courses and teaching are available in our college. The Wi-Fi and labs are available in our college. The classrooms and the library are well decorated. The library situated in our college is a central library, and all types of books are available there.
Faculty: The faculty in Gurucharan College is very good. All the faculty members have very friendly behavior with their students, and they provide very good marks to the students in every exam. All the faculty members are NET qualified, and almost 10 to 15 teachers have a Ph.D. degree. They are very highly qualified.

Review of B.Tech at Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very poor at Assam University, Silchar. The T&P is also not very active. Companies rarely visit our campus for recruitment purposes. Most students get placed off campus. The same condition is with the internship also; however, CSE and AE provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are spacious and can accommodate a total of 50–60 students. The labs are not so well equipped with the latest equipment. Sometimes basic equipment is also not working. Hostels are good but the food quality is very poor.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with Ph.D. degrees. But the teaching quality is average and they are also not very helpful. The course curriculum is as per AICTE norms but in the case of elective subjects, only one subject has to be chosen by all due to a shortage of faculty members.
Other: The authority is very much lazy and every task gets delayed here. The campus life is also average, with very few fests happening on campus.

Hii, The difficulty of XAT, CAT, or CMAT depends on individual aptitude and preparation, but generally:

  1. CAT: Considered the toughest, with high competition and emphasis on VARC, DILR, and Quant.
  2. XAT: Moderate, with an additional Decision-Making section and essay writing, testing analytical thinking.
