Supportive faculty, decent infrastructure, and affordable fees with a vibrant campus life.
Placements: Around 40–50% of students from the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Highest, lowest, and average package: The highest package offered was around INR 4.5 LPA, the lowest was INR 2 LPA, and the average package was approximately INR 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies: Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys were among the top recruiters for science graduates. Percentage of students with internships and companies: Around 30% of students received internships from companies like HCL and some local organizations. Top roles offered: Students were mostly offered roles such as Research Assistant, Lab Technician, Data Analyst, and Quality Control Analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities for the BSc . course at Karimganj College are basic but functional. The labs are well-equipped for practicals, though more modern equipment could enhance learning. The library has a decent collection of books, particularly for science students. Wi-Fi is available but could be more reliable, especially in hostels and common areas. The hostel facilities are satisfactory but need improvements in terms of cleanliness and room space. The food quality in the mess is decent, providing a balanced diet, but there's room for variety. The college has basic medical facilities, and sports options are available, including cricket, football, and badminton.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The quality of teaching was generally good, with faculty members providing ample guidance for both theoretical and practical knowledge. The curriculum was fairly relevant, though it had more focus on theory than on industry-ready skills. Students might need to pursue additional certifications or internships to be fully prepared for the job market. The semester exams were moderately challenging, but students who regularly attended classes and studied consistently had no trouble passing. The pass percentage was around 65-70%, making it manageable for most students.
Other: the approximate total fees for a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course, including tuition, hostel, library, admission fees, mess, and other charges, is around 40,000 to 60,000 INR for the entire duration of the course. However, this may vary depending on the specific year and facilities opted for (like hostel or mess).
