LFAT 2023 - The city of examination for LFAT 2023 will be announced from May 14 onwards at cuet.samarth.ac.in for admissions to legal studies (subject code 317) at the University of Allahabad (AU). This year, the university is accepting admissions to the BA LLB course through CUET (UG) 2023. The AU BA LLB admit card 2023 through CUET will be released three days before the date of the examination. The exact date for Allahabad University BA LLB admission through Law + General subjects will be shared with the candidates through the CUET 2023 admit card only. The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test mode from May 21 to 31, 2023. NTA closed the CUET application correction window on April 3, 2023. Thus, the candidates will be able to download their AU BA LLB admit card for CUET (UG) 2023 from May 18 onwards.

What is LFAT?
The Law Faculty Admission Test (LFAT) is conducted by the University of Allahabad for admissions to the five-year Integrated LLB (Hons) course which is offered at the Faculty of Law, and its constituent colleges. Candudates who want to get admission to BA LLB courses at the University of Allahabad (AU) need to note that the institution now accepts the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions to BA LLB and other undergraduate courses. AU no longer conducts LFAT exam. For the Academic Session 2023-24, the counselling process will be conducted by the University of Allahabad after CUET results are declared.

LFAT Eligibility Criteria 2023
The admission process will be based on CUET 2023 scores, but the candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under for admissions to BA LLB course as mentioned below:
- They should have passed Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from any state or national board of education
- They should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 45% marks if belonging to General category, 42% marks if belonging to OBC category and 40% marks if belonging to SC/ ST category

LFAT CUET Process 2023:
Candidates seeking admissions to AU BA LLB can understand the admission process as mentioned below:
Step 1: Application Process - Candidates seeking admisisons to BA LLB course at Allahabad University have to fill the application form at cuet.samarth.ac.in. They need to select Allahabad University and BA LLB course under 'University and Progams section'. Moreover, they need to choose Legal Studies as on the subject in CUET 2022 test paper.
Step 2: Admit Card for Entrance Exam - Candidates will be issued admit card for CUET 2023 to appear for AU BA LLB course admission test. The admit card will mention details about the entrance exam date, subjects and test centre location. Candidates need to download the admit card to appear for CUET 2023 on the exam day. They can download their admit cards in the second week of May 2023.
Step 3: Appear for Entrance Exam - Candidates have to appear for CUET 2023 as per the schedule at the allotted test centre.
Step 4: Admission Process by Counselling - Once the entrance exam results are declared, the university will prepare merit list and waiting list for the counselling process. All the candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be required to appear for the counselling process as per the schedule. They will need to confirm their seat allotment and pay the admission fee as instructed by the admission committee.

LFAT Exam Day Guidelines 2023
Candidates should be careful of a few things on the exam day as under:
- Report to the allotted exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings.
- Carry the admit card as issued for CUET 2023 along with one valid photo ID proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN card etc.
- Carry two pens (black or blue colour) and an HB pencil to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
- Avoid taking mobile phones or any other electronic items to the examination centre.
- Follow the instructions of the exam centre officials on the exam day.
