My college, university is the biggest residential university in the whole of Asia.
Placements: Very good placements in my college, and many students take good placements. Further, the highest and average package offered during BHU MBA placements in 2024 stood at INR 23.5 LPA and INR 11.1 LPA, respectively. More than 65 companies visited the campus during BHU MBA placements in 2024.
Infrastructure: BHU has one of the largest libraries in India. It has a collection of over 2 million books, journals, and other publications. BHU has a variety of sports facilities, including a stadium, a swimming pool, a gymnasium, and a tennis court.
Faculty: Very good examination and it conducts from time to time. Semester exam in BHU (Banaras Hindu University) refers to the mid-term examinations held at the end of each semester within an academic year, where students are assessed on the course material covered during that specific semester. Essentially, it is the regular periodic testing system used by this university for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Other: Very enjoyable and very good college. Our university life in BHU, Banaras Hindu University can be a wonderful choice for those seeking an unparalleled education. It has state-of-the-art research facilities, and a vivacious student life.

Really good infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Placement ratio is good enough. Mostly students get placements when they get nice marks in their academics. TCS and legal firms hire brilliant minds. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA till now in a law firm. Around 70-80% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: Campus is brilliant and an extravaganza for students. Campus is very eco-friendly and has lots of trees and greenery all around. Wi-Fi setup classes are there with high-speed internet connectivity. Modernized labs are there with modern equipment. Hostel is also nice. Food quality is good and cleanliness is there.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are supportive and student-friendly. Professors are well-qualified and helpful. They are too much knowledgeable in their respective field. Course makes students industry ready like LL.B. or fine arts. Semester exams are good, their difficult level is also good. Pass percentage is 70-85%.
Other: Overall campus is good. Security is also very good here. A large area on campus allows a better experience for students to explore.

B.A. (Hons.) in Social Sciences - Batch of 2025

Good infrastructure and beautiful campuses.
Placements: In my course, there are no placements possible because it's a Social Science course in which placements don't take place. However, students pursuing this Social Science course can apply for many internships through which they can be hired by companies.
Infrastructure: The library and classrooms are very well-cleaned and large in size. There are also a few smart classes where we learn a lot. The infrastructure of the hostel is very good, and the food is also okay, but it contains a lot of oil and spices, which can harm our health.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are responsible for their duty, and some of them are very good in nature and at their work, although some of them do not take classes. Semester exams come after every three months and take place for one and a half months with a lot of gaps in between.
Other: My main paper is Political Science, and I want to be a professor, so I chose this course. Improvement in the management of semester exams and other documentations is needed. There are a lot of events conducted on the campuses, which are a lot of fun.

A perfect college with all facilities.
Placements: Placement at Banaras Hindu University is amazing, and placement cells are really active. They cooperate with students and ensure companies visit the campus, even providing internships. Good MNCs such as Barclays and Accenture visit, providing good stipends.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is amazing, it is a huge university where students come from abroad to study. Campus is hygienic. Hostels are good. Every department has its own facilities for students to study. The environment is amazing. It is a highly recommended college. One more information I would like to add is a library. It is amazing, huge and any student can study. They have all kinds of books.
Faculty: The University curriculum is highly updated. It is taught by experienced professors. They hold Ph.D. degrees and have a lot of knowledge. They conduct classes regularly and ensure that the courses are completed on time.

It is the best college for a life journey.
Placements: Approximately 25% of students got placed in my college. There are lots of opportunities in my course. Many companies like Reliance, Adani, and Tata visit our college to hire younger students. Approximately all students go to placements through their relative's companies, and also provide internships to students.
Infrastructure: There is availability of Wi-Fi, computer labs, economics lab, commerce labs, and also an admission verification cell for students. It also has a big library with the availability of all books. Students issue books for 30 days without any charges. Medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: All faculty members are best. After ending of every class, teachers clear the doubts of students and also solve problems through WhatsApp and emails. In this course, there is best opportunity for students. Exams are held after every 6 months. There are 8 semesters in UG program and exam level is moderate. Faculty members and students ratio is maintained and enough for all students.
Other: I chose this course because there are lots of opportunities and has value in college. The fee structure is low i.e., Rs 10,322 per year.

B.Voc. in Computer Applications - Batch of 2025

The reality of BVoc at BHU.
Placements: We are not provided with any placements facility and there is no placements cell in the college. While taking the admission, we were told that we will get a placements cell and our teachers will be field experts, but we are not given any such an opportunity yet. The coordinators give us internship applications through internshala which are not even relatable to our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university as a whole is great. But speaking for my course, we don't even have a good classroom or clean washrooms. They do not focus on hygiene, especially in the faculty of arts . Rest of the departments’ facilities have a clean environment but not ours. There is no hostel facility for girls in our course, there is only one seat allotted to our class. The boys are given around 8 to 12 seats in the hostel. They get funding for building the hostel and the classrooms yet they do not put any efforts to work on the same. We have a lab assigned which does not have proper working systems but there are some computers which work in the labs. There is no AC which makes it very annoying in the summer season. We get free medical facility and medicines by the University. There is no canteen in the campus, there is only one food shop and a tea corner. We do have a UG library and a central library which can be accessed by the students of the campus. They organise inter-departmental sports competitions and the team winning these competitions gets recommendation by the University.
Faculty: The curriculum made for our course is great but the only flaw here is that they do not teach according to the curriculum assigned. They will teach using PDFs and would not put any efforts to give any practical examples. Even the teachers are not aware of the current technologies present in the market. The exams pattern is very similar to any other University, we have to give mid sem and then a final exam. As per my college, we have to give mcent at the beginning of semester. At the Banaras Hindu University, I am currently giving my semester 5th’s midsem examination.

Both DU and BHU are brands in India.

You can refer NIRF ranking and consider other factors like fees, location etc.

In my view DU is slighlt bigger brand.

A score of 370 out of 600 in the CUET 2024 exam may not be enough to get admission to BHU for botany honors. The CUET cutoff for BHU's BSc (Hons) Biology Group is expected to be between 475–530 out of 600.

Explanation

Each university has its own CUET cutoff criteria.

Admission to BHU depends upon the eligibility criteria for the course chosen.

For undergraduate programs, the admission is done through CUET (Common University Entrance Test), where is rank will be based on the scores obtained.

Other than that, there are cut off variations as per categories (general,
