Overall, all the facilities provided on the campus are good.
Placements: The strength of my class is 80. Sometimes the package depends on the knowledge of the person, but it's min 3-5 Lacs. The top recruitment companies like HDFC, ICICI, SBI Bank. Top roles offered in B.Com. Hone is like taxation, accounting, and management.
Infrastructure: Overall, the faculty provided by the college and hostel is too good. They provide us with lots of facilities like games, gym, sports, health, Wi-Fi connection, and a library, which is very useful for the students. The food available in the hostel is good and of nice quality.
Faculty: All the teachers are too good in knowledge and skillful and also provide us with good knowledge as per as possible. The semester exam is not more difficult if you are student to your best knowledge and understanding of the concept; the passing mark is a minimum of 30-40% rounded.
Other: I will choose this course so that I have experience and learn taxation, accounting, and management, which is very useful for any professional course. Also, some knowledge about the stock market for trading and earning money.

    Good hostel facility.
Placements: The course Financial Market Management is a relatively new course, and after its completion, mostly graduates opt for higher studies like MBA or for professional courses like CA, CS, CFA, CMA, etc. The faculty, however, has a placement cell, and at least 5 percent of the students get jobs by the recruiters, and the highest package goes around 5 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, the classrooms are equipped with proper, high-quality furniture and fixtures. There is a 24/7 Wi-Fi connection in the faculty as well as hostels. There is an auditorium, an annexure, a computer lab, and a library that has books available from different professors at the faculty. The hostel facility is amazing, especially the girls' hostel. We are provided with quality food that is inspected on a regular basis by in-charges. We have 24/7 running water, and in winters we also have warm water available. The electricity is provided by solar, so no extra charge. The medical facilities are provided when needed at the Health Centre or Sundarlal Hospital. Each hostel has its own garden along with a ground for sports like volleyball and badminton. The overall environment of the hostels is good.
Faculty: The teachers are all knowledgeable and helpful. They even give you extra time for your queries. The professors are also qualified. Apart from that, we also have assistant professors and scholars teaching us subjects. However, the professors do not take regular classes in the initial semesters. We have a lot of leaves. The course Financial Market Management has become quite known because of the increased popularity of financial markets (stock market, foreign market, etc.). The course curriculum is relevant and teaches about the financial market in later semesters. The semester exams are not so difficult. One who has paid attention during the lectures will have no difficulty during exams. The pass percentage is above average. I would say more than 65 percent.
Other: The course Financial Market Management has gained popularity in recent years because of the increased awareness of stock, e-commerce, trading, and commodities markets. This course provided me an opportunity to specialize in these fields, and it interested me. There are very few fests, but a number of events take place. There are various clubs for students to join, such as sports, cultural, debate, etc. Scholarships are also available for students.

    Absolutely dissatisfied because of.
Placements: The placements in my college are pretty decent, I would say. The percentage of students who got placed in my college mainly depends on the cutoff, their caste, and the number of students applying for the course. Companies like Deloitte, Byju, etc., visit the campus. As for the remaining questions, sorry, I don't have any correct knowledge.
Infrastructure: The commerce lab and classrooms are fine, the library is decent, I would say. I have no experience in PG and hostels. The campus is not good but not bad either. There is a lack of greenery in the campus, too many unwanted outsiders in the college, and no rules and regulations, etc. I had tried two fast food items from the college canteen, and they both were awful. It was really bad. No for canteen food from that time. Regarding medical facilities, I don't know. In terms of sports and games, there is an indoor auditorium in the college and a big ground (which has accountable trees) on the campus. It's decent, actually. Don't come with high expectations.
Faculty: I didn't get any fresher's fest, orientation, or festivals yet, but our 1st-semester exams are scheduled to start from the last week of this month. Honestly speaking, I am losing my last brain cell. I mean, what do they want from us? Seriously. Anyway, what can we do now? We aren't mentally prepared for the exams, especially I'm not.
Other: Decent feels. Extra curriculum. Nothing like that has happened yet, and I'm disappointed.

Fabulous lush green campus, with beautiful life at Varanasi.
Placements: There is complete placement. Best recruiters of the college are there. Broker firms hire youth from the campus. Internship is also 100 percent. Jobs in broker firms work into the financial market. Better understanding of the market and relevance in today’s upcoming scenario.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the campus with unlimited access. The university has the best library, and the faculty library has many relevant books. Classrooms are good enough and neat and clean. Mess food is good, and the hostel too. There are free medical facilities for students on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers and other office staff are very helpful. Always available and help us in every sphere of the course. The course makes the students industry-ready, directly recruited in a broker firm or other options ahead in SEBI or NSE. Semester exams are easy if continued with studies.
Other: Financial market management gives good placement opportunities and helps in your personal financial growth.

Infrastructure is really good. The environment and campus life are going to be fabulous.
Placements: Placement for just B.Com (Hons) is not that much available. You have to pursue higher education like MBA to get a better one. Microsoft, Flipkart, Internshala, Dailyhunt are the recruiters. Around 10 students get internship opportunities in the above-mentioned companies. Roles offered are accountant, economics, business consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: Everything is top-notch. All of them are pretty good. You should not worry about that. You will get a commerce lab, economics lab, Wi-Fi campus, and classrooms just like in movie scenes. Canteen facilities are available. There are many sports facilities available. On campus, you get the best infrastructure for your whole personality development.
Faculty: Although it is a government college, classes are held regularly. Teachers are well-educated and professional. They are helpful in nature. Yes, it is. It will give you enough knowledge of business and finance. But if we talk about industry readiness, then you must give time for yourself to learn some industrial skills to perform better. No, it's not that difficult. You can pass the semester exam just by studying 1 week earlier to the exam.
Other: This course is basically an honours degree in B.Com, so it provides you with specialty in one major. Personally, I chose this course to know more about business and finance. The one thing I wish is that more practical and corporate life education be provided to students rather than just theory. Yes, you will receive all that in this college.

    BHU is genuinely overrated.
Placements: Securing placements in this institution is challenging for most students, but it appears to be relatively easier for individuals belonging to the SC/ST categories. The prospects for good placements after completing B.Com. are limited. However, there are a diverse range of internship opportunities available. The professors are highly esteemed, with many having decades of teaching experience.
Infrastructure: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is renowned for its commendable infrastructure. The Computer Center is a notable facility, and there are well-equipped computer labs and libraries within each faculty. Health facilities, including a student health clinic and Sir Sunderlal Hospital, are easily accessible. The Central Library and a digital library contribute to extensive learning resources. Despite these facilities, exposure for students is considered lacking. Additionally, nearby attractions like Vishwanath Temple offer Banarasi snack options.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, with backgrounds from prestigious institutions such as SRCC, IIMs, and individuals holding CA qualifications. The B.Com.. curriculum, however, may not adequately prepare students for the industry, necessitating additional professional courses for better readiness. Semester exams are of average difficulty, making them relatively easy to pass.
Other: The institution hosts very few events, and the overall student environment is perceived as not being conducive.

Q:   Is B.Com at BHU worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we can conclude:

    Placement Opportunities:
    * Only 5-10% of students get placed through the campus placement drive, while around 60% opt for further education.
    * Salary packages vary, with the highest being 9 LPA and the lowest being 2.5 LPA.
    * Companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon occasionally recruit students.
    * Off-campus placements are scarce, and students struggle to find suitable employment.

    Course Curriculum:
    * The course curriculum is outdated and lacks practical knowledge.
    * Some students feel that the course does not equip them with industry-ready skills.

    Infrastructure and Facilities:
    * The college has good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, a cyber library, and well-maintained hostels.
    * The campus is spread across 1300 acres, providing ample space for students.

    Faculty:
    * Professors are highly qualified, but some might not be enthusiastic about taking classes.
    * Teaching quality is average, but students can excel with proper effort.

    Campus Life:
    * Festivals like Kashiyatra and Splash are exciting events that bring together students from various departments.
    * Sports facilities are available, but not exceptional.

Considering these factors, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully before investing in the B.Com programme at BHU. While the college provides a good educational foundation, the lack of practical training and limited placement opportunities might affect career prospects. It's crucial for prospective students to assess their goals and priorities before making a decision.

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.Com courses at BHU?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Com Courses at BHU

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.Com courses at BHU:

    * Limited Job Opportunities: Most students reported that the placement cell did not provide adequate job opportunities. Out of the total batch, only a handful of students managed to secure jobs through campus recruitment.
    * Companies That Visit: While some reputed companies like Wipro and Bajaj do visit the campus, the number of recruiters is limited.
    * Placement Percentage: According to the reports, the placement percentage for B.Com students is relatively low, with only about 1-2% of students securing jobs through campus recruitment.
    * Salary Packages: Even when students do manage to secure jobs, the salary packages tend to be modest, ranging from INR1-2 Lacs per annum.
    * Lack of Initiative: Some students felt that the placement cell lacked initiative in organizing internship opportunities, which could have prepared them better for the job market.
    * Better Options Exist: Several students suggested that pursuing higher education or opting for alternative career paths might be more beneficial due to the limited job opportunities in the field.

Overall, while BHU does offer some job opportunities through its placement cell, the success rate is relatively low compared to other institutions. It appears that students may need to explore additional options to achieve their career goals.
