Review of Banaras Hindu University.

Placements: Our college does not support us for placements. Students who pursue B.A. in social sciences go for master's or government jobs.

I am dissatisfied because of faculty, bad placements and infrastructure.

Placements: Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, this year we had no placements. Every year the status of placement is not so good. The highest salary offered is only Rs. 20,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. A top recruiting company that visit our college for placements is Zee News. The college doesn't use to help in getting an internship. It just provided NOC after availing that the students had to struggle by themselves for getting an internship. The college administration ...

The college is great for top branches and not worthy for other branches.

Placements: Placements are always the best for the top 4 branches, i.e., computers, electronics, electrical and mechanical. Placements for the remaining branches are not good. Students of our branch had few opportunities to get placed in the core companies. Only the handful of companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel and Tata Motors visited our campus to offer core jobs. Only 15-20 students got placed in those companies. Remaining all the students try their luck in non-core companies which provide plenty of oppor...

Huge dissapointment since the department does't have the basic media tools.

Placements: Every year placement cell of BHU and DJMC invites brand like ABP news and Sony Entertainment. Various NGOs are also invited for conducting placement. Lack of technical and communication skill makes it extremely tough for the students to do well in their interview round. Last year only 1 student was selected for ABP news while 2 students were selected for NGOs.

Review of IIT Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.

Placements: Only 50% of the total strength could get placed until the end of March. Most of them were from non-core companies. Rest got placed by attempting GATE 2014 and got jobs in PSUs. The highest salary package offered in the core sector was 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered in the non-core sector was 16 LPA.

Banaras Hindu University-Review

Placements: The on-placement campus for the commerce courses is really bad. Only 2-3 students got placements out of around 270 and that the average package was around 1-1.5 lakhs per year. Regarding the placements, the only advantage the students get is that of the name of the University, BHU.
