Q:   Is CUH good for M.Sc.?

A:
{Source: M.Sc. students & alumni}

M.Sc.: Is CUH good for M.Sc?

* Pros:
+ Faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields.
+ Course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready.
+ Infrastructure is good, with well-maintained labs, libraries, and hostels.
+ Campus life is friendly and culturally diverse.
+ Placement support is satisfactory, with top recruiters like Infosys, TCS, and Samsung.
* Cons:
+ Placement ratio is average, with only one or two students getting placed.
+ Limited opportunities for direct placements in the M.Sc. course.
+ Some students felt that the professors did not teach everything needed for the course, requiring additional self-study.

Overall, CUH appears to offer a good environment for studying M.Sc., with knowledgeable faculty, relevant course content, and decent infrastructure. While placements might not be exceptional, students can still leverage the university's connections and skills gained during the programme to secure positions. However, students should be prepared to supplement their learning with additional efforts beyond what is taught in classes.

Q:   Is MCA at CUH a good choice?

A:
{Source: MCA students & alumni}

Based on the feedback from current students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good Infrastructure: The college has a well-maintained library, Wi-Fi facility, and medical facility. The hostel infrastructure is decent, with world-class amenities such as Wi-Fi, RO purified water, and hot/cold running water.
* Experienced Faculty: Most faculty members hold doctoral degrees and have over 15 years of teaching experience. They are knowledgeable and motivated to teach the latest technologies.
* Placements: Around 88% of students are placed, with top recruiters like TCS, Synoriq, Nagarro, Byju's, and Infosys. The training and placement cell regularly organizes placement drives and invites companies with high packages.
* Improving University Accreditation: The university is working towards improving its accreditation, which may lead to increased recognition and opportunities for students.

Cons:

* Limited Sports Facilities: The college lacks good sports facilities, which might affect student engagement and overall development.
* Average Course Curriculum: Some students feel that the course curriculum is average and doesn't cater to the latest industry trends.
* Lack of Events: The college doesn't conduct regular events, which might impact student participation and social activities.

Overall, while MCA at CUH has its strengths, it's essential to weigh these against the weaknesses. Students who prioritize infrastructure, faculty quality, and placements might find this programme suitable. However, those seeking a vibrant campus life with frequent events might want to explore alternative options.

    My experience was good and I was satisfied with the available facilities in my department.
    Placements: There is a placement cell, but most of the students opt for research work. The majority of the students were placed in good institutions for their respective dissertations. The placement cell can be improved, which can provide students with increased career opportunities.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is quite good, with all the required facilities. The hostel facilities are affordable, the dispensary is good and is open 24 hours a day, and the sports facilities can be improved. The food is good and they take care of nutrition as well.
    Faculty: The faculty is good, experienced and helpful. I think the curriculum can be improved by making it more oriented towards competitive examinations so it can help students. The semester exam tasks questions from the syllabus itself and the majority makes it through it.
    Other: There can be more extracurricular activities on campus.

    Good coursework layout, faculty, and well-established labs.
    Placements: All students from class either enrolled in Ph.D. programs in good universities or secured government jobs. Good placement options are available. The department has collaborations with many reputable companies and other universities for internships and placements.
    Infrastructure: Labs are well-established, with up-to-date instruments, incubators, and sterile conditions. Classrooms are spacious, and coursework covers all topics thoroughly. The hostel was clean, and the mess food was hygienic. The library had all the books covered in the syllabus.
    Faculty: Teachers were helpful and provided good guidance and support. They offered guidance even after course completion. Coursework covered all basic topics with proper lab practicals. Exams were moderately challenging, as is typical in government colleges.
    Other: As a new university, it has all necessary facilities. The campus is secluded from the outside, providing safety and a good environment for students.

    The faculty is good and helpful.
    Placements: Almost 90% of students passed the course. But there was no placement in my department, particularly for my course. Students have to do internships as part of their thesis in the final semester. Most of the students joined research, and some went for higher studies. Some even diverted to different fields, like management.
    Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Hostels are fine. Wi-Fi is available on university campuses and in hostels too. The food quality in the hostel is also good. But the university lacks some cafeterias or canteens for students to eat and drink. Also, a bus facility should be included if it is not from the hostel to the university campus.
    Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant to the practical world, industries, and research. Teachers are qualified and are always willing to help their students. The semester exam level is above moderate, with a focus on testing real-world-based problems.
    Other: Basic grocery shops and a salon should be nearby to facilitate everyone living at the university.

    Growth that was targeted and disciplined.
    Placements: As of placements, many students opted to pursue research. Some of the students went for corporate sector jobs as it suited their current needs, while others dived into research- and skill-based jobs in various different sectors. Overall, everyone got their settlement.
    Infrastructure: The hostel facilities were quite big and the mess was serving good food. The hostel had ample area for indoor sports and the space for extracurricular activities was also very vast. The rooms were well-spaced and well-lit, along with being fully ventilated for both sunlight and air.
    Faculty: The curriculum was sufficient enough to crack any entrance exam of national importance. The study design was such that it covered major and even the most focused areas of the subject. Apart from that, the laboratory work supported the theories, which made them easy to understand.

    The faculty is very supportive here.
    Placements: Most of the students went for their internships all over India. This was only possible as the knowledge imparted to them regarding the subject was ample and sufficient for them to stand out. However, the placement needs to improve and more companies should come together for recruitment.
    Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi-powered and has good connectivity. It is neat and green. The air is fresh and you can also spot a few animals in and around that are totally harmless, which makes you feel like you are in the lap of Mother Nature.
    Faculty: The professors are quite helpful and supportive and they are available as and when required. They guide you in the best way possible and never fail to show you the right path. I highly recommend considering this university for your higher education. This is among the best universities in India.
    Other: The campus life here is just amazing. The campus is very diverse, with people coming together from different parts of the country. Hence, all the festivals are celebrated here.

    Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

    A:

    Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
