CUJ- Lots of potential with lots of problems
Placements: There is a placement cell in the university but it is not for international relations students.
None of our seniors got a job through the university but many seniors got admission in good universities like JNU, Jamia, DU, etc.
One student also went to Ireland for further studies. There is a good placement opportunity for MBA, engineering, and mass comm students as well as internship programmes. CUJ has tied up with many foreign universities like Yan Guan University, Korea, etc.
Many departments like mass comm have a tie-up with UNICEF which offers internship opportunity to the students.
So there is a chance of success if you opt for mass comm, MBA, and engineering.
Infrastructure: Currently, this university is on a temporary campus, so there is a limitation of resources.
A lack of classrooms and hostels. Average Wi-Fi and sports facility. Medical facility is not so good.
There is a lab for science, engineering, mass comm, and language students. A big issue in CUJ is the hostel and mess issue. But if you live in Ranchi, then this university is good because it has good transportation facility.
Faculty: CUJ is established with an ambitious dream and that can be seen in its course.
CUJ offers many rare courses, like in engineering, there are nanotech, energy, water, and geo engineering.
All of these are rare disciplines.
In arts, there are international relations, language, MBA, mass comm.
There is also B.Ed programme.
If we talk about the faculty, there is a lack of professors.
Guest faculty members are good but not excellent.
Other: Two steps can solve all issue of CUJ:
1. Permanent campus- Because of corruption, the work in CUJ permanent campus is stopped. There are a lot of problems like hostel, classroom problem, etc. that have to be faced by the students.
2. Stong student union- There is no student union so there is no one who can fight with the administration if the administration goes wrong.
